More like how efficient does someone have to be to keep their body cooled so they can function at a high level
This is actually really beneficial for weight loss because if you eat like this, you will just shit yourself constantly
One of the laziest takes in modern day hockey performance is doing all of a player’s conditioning on the ice
You’re likely not doing all your speed work on the ice, so you shouldn’t be doing all your conditioning on the ice. Athletes just don’t want to do it because it’s hard
Is this not what practice is for? To make mistakes, learn from them, and be better next time?
Everyone is still learning, developing, and honing in their skills, even at the highest level

I’ll never understand people still thinking they can out train a bad diet
700+ cals burned on this ride (not riding for the cals, just proving a point). If I was doing this just to burn cals, I could’ve saved myself an hour by not eating 700+ cals in 5 mins like some do
The goal of data collection isn’t information; it’s knowledge
If the data doesn’t have a meaningful impact on the program, are you asking the right questions? Are you (quickly) communicating data to the correct stakeholders? Should you even be spending time/money on the tech?
Copenhagen planks are gold standard for adductor strengthening
But in-season, many players can’t tolerate the movement (even modified with a short lever)
Don’t underestimate a simple hooklying adductor squeeze where players can moderate the amount of tension they’re creating
Normal people get normal results. By doing what everyone else does, you get what everyone else has
Be different
People criticize because it helps them justify the risks they chose not to take, in the hopes that it will dissuade you from doing it, so that you can be in the exact same position as them
Block out the noise, keep going
Bonus:
Leadership training should start early, because bad habits are hard to break. Starting with young kids may be key.
Even if you’re not the highest up leader, you can be leader of a small group - position group, non-starters, etc. to build your leadership skills.
I thought this article was awesome and everyone can take a lesson, or reinforce their current practices, with lessons from the 🐐
