Classical music filling the bustling subway station broke through invisible barriers, bringing people together through the most genuine of human emotions.
In April 2012, the Copenhagen Phil (Zealand Symphony Orchestra) surprised passengers on the Copenhagen Metro with a flash mob performance of "Peer Gynt" by Edvard Grieg. The performance was organized in collaboration with Radio Klassisk, with all the music performed and filmed live inside the subway.

Earl Silverman was abused and when he reported it to the police they laughed at him. So he set up an abuse shelter for men. It was funded by himself due to lack of government support unlike the female abuse shelters. He had to close and took his life a few months later.
Organisations for men only are considered discrimination and thus not allowed. So either the organisation focusses on women only or on both but give priority to women.
It's not about men not wanting to help men, it's that men are not allowed to help just men.
When men advocate for a male-only thing, it's shut down before it even started because it's considered discrimination. Giving the idea that men helping men is seen as an attack on women.

Men don't set up abuse helpline or shelters for all the male victims of intimate partner violence, either. No all-male daycares, no all-male shelters, no all-male food pantries... Almost like men don't help each other, they just want women to help them
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Context: Creation and promotion of support systems for male victims of domestic abuse are frequently protested and obstructed by feminist groups.
70% of non-reciprocal domestic violence has been found to be committed by women.

The look of a leftist discovering reality – this is not how she imagined it – it is called a cognitive dissonance.
The French leftists are going to get a lot of that.

“If Australia had a real skill-shortage, the underemployment rate would not remain at 6.3 per cent. Real wages would be rising to attract workers, not stagnating as has been the case"

Labor will "change their position" and increase taxes, or keep racking up debt.
The thing with the ALP is that you may "take (a) tax away", but it will be replaced by several other taxes, and usually hidden ones.

Well done Westpac. The transfer of the safety deposit boxes to Guardian Vaults is a copmplete train wreck. Confusing, wrong ,inconsistent information. Forcing people to buy a software product on their phone to register online to the new service. Being forced to attend in person (5 hour round trip) to keep our SDB. Pathetic. Try harder. Do better.

I rarely walk into a bank branch. Like everyone I try to avoid it. But you still need to access a teller from time to time.
Today I walked into a Westpac / St George branch.
As one of about 15 people lined up for 1 teller, I had a lovely elderly lady standing behind me.
A young man started to walk up the line asking everyone what they wanted to do trying to get them to go to the ATM’s.
No luck there. What a waste of time.
After cringing at the lack of privacy - another (more rude & entitled) young man, maybe 23 years old at best, decided he wanted to tell people to go to the ATM’s as well.
Then he proceeded to debate with the woman behind me (who eventually told me she was 90 years old) that she could no longer transfer money at the teller. But, she kept saying “I’ve been doing it for years”.
After she started becoming distressed, and he was digging his heels in, I stepped in to help her. To at least give her some moral support.
The rudeness and disrespect towards both of us was next level. The banks treat those who are uncomfortable with technology like dirt. He just simply couldn’t understand her perspective.
We are living in a world where customer service and empathy is disappearing with each passing generation and to listen to this beautiful lady and watch how she was treated was another real world example of how far our society is sliding down the slope of mindless AI twats thinking they know better than everyone else.
