Enjoying this salty - pun intended - excerpt from decision of Judge Anne Fairpo on why Walker’s attempts to get their crisps a VAT exemption by calling them Poppodoms does not make them so.

This seems like an interesting and important step. But to be properly accessible, there needs IMHO to be much better public access to documents lodged with the court (pleadings, written arguments etc).
Court of Session Live Today the Court of Session will become the first court in Scotland with a regular live streaming service, allowing cases to be viewed remotely by the public. bit.ly/3pigrO2

Great news for many migrant young people in Scotland. Delighted to have played a (small) part in this. Every legal case is significant for those involved but its a great privilege to be involved in case that are also of wider significance. news.stv.tv/scotland/scottis…

Delighted to have been able to assist with this. A great example of how judicial review can hold governments accountable for (in this case) thoughtless policymaking and unjustifiable restrictions on student support for committed young people who have made Scotland their home.
