Universal Credit is trending.
I'm on Universal Credit and in work, but because I have CFS, it is currently part-time, low-paid work.
I currently receive £334.91 a month to live on (after housing costs). That's £83.72 a week, or a whopping salary of £4,018.92.
I'm very lucky

I've just been looking for a new domestic gas tariff as our current contract is coming to an end. The cheapest fixed price deal I could find was slightly over twice what we're currently paying, fixed for 2 years. This is going to be a disaster for people who are in fuel poverty.

I know nearly 200 MPs follow this account. To them I say - there is still time to push for the Universal Credit £20/week uplift to stay. It provides vital cash for many in and out of work.
Ending it in amid a cost of living crisis doesn't seem right for a civilised society.
“To some people it’s a really throw away amount, £20 a week. For us it’s massive.”
Parents and carers taking part in the @CovidRealities project urge the government to stop the £20 cut to universal credit. #KeepTheLifeline

Not sure we've communicated well enough that social distancing interventions will pay dividends in 1-3 weeks. Anything that happens in the next 10 days was already baked in prior to that. A surge in cases now would NOT mean that social distancing isn't working.
