Childress was apprehended because an anonymous caller in #LouWestEnd saw him with a mask allegedly by a dollar store.
The mask gave @LMPD reason to stop him. Turns out he was someone who shouldn't have a gun.
But this standard wasn't applied to neo-Nazis breaking the same law.

The authority to declare war belongs solely to Congress. Trump’s unconstitutional and escalatory strikes risk drawing US troops and the American people—who are overwhelmingly opposed—into another forever war. Congress must immediately exercise our duty to restrain this President.

One of my favorites. It is in the first tweet too, but I think this is one of the best photos I have ever taken of Andy and wanted to post it alone. @TimFindleyJr, your Grandmother.

We live in a country where convicted felons often have trouble voting, can’t get public housing assistance, food stamps, or student loans. BUT it looks like one can be president. Go figure. 🤷🏽♂️

Black Americans experience the most hate crimes of any group in America. They live at the bottom of every indicator of well being. They face rampant and documented discrimination in employment, housing, you name it. I really wish pundits discussing campus protests and anti-Semitism would stop using us as the comparison group for what would not be tolerated.

On this day in 1960, four black college students staged a sit-in at a whites-only lunch counter at Woolworth's in Greensboro, NC.
They sparked a national movement across the country. Instructions were simple: sit quietly and wait to be served. #BlackHistoryMonth

More than 8000 post black women in Mississippi and S. Carolina were given involuntary hysterectomies (removal of uterus) between 1920s and 80s when they went to see white doctors for other complaints.
These came to be known as 'Mississippi Appendectomies'
