Having to take these actions fragment the public conversation. They divide us. They limit the potential for clarification, redemption, and learning. And sets a precedent I feel is dangerous: the power an individual or corporation has over a part of the global public conversation.

As most of you know by now, Archbishop James Golka of Denver has asked Fr. Chad Ripperger to take one year off “from public speaking and interviews.” archden.org/archdiocese-of-d…
As a personal friend and big fan of Fr. Ripperger, I was obviously sad when he shared this news with me privately several weeks ago (it was never his intention to make a public spectacle of it). Now that it’s a matter of public record, I want to publicly commend Fr. Ripperger for accepting Archbishop Golka’s request with humility and obedience, according to the example of the Saints.
And let’s all remember this: “Archbishop Golka is grateful for Fr. Ripperger’s priestly service, exorcism ministry, and for the generous spirit in which he received this request. We ask the faithful to join us in praying for Fr. Ripperger and for the Society [of the Most Sorrowful Mother].”
In addition to praying, please consider donating to support the Society’s vital work: dolorans.org/donate
And with Christmas coming soon, now is a great time to order some of Father’s books: sentradpress.com
Let’s also pray for Archbishop Golka, that he will see all the good fruit that Fr. Ripperger’s public speaking has produced and allow him to resume such endeavors in one year’s time.
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us!
Couldn't say it better.
I'm done voting for the "lesser of two evils". This time around, there is no "lesser" really.

The end does not justify the means. That is a non-negotiable. We cannot keep moving the line. I will no longer vote for the lesser of two evils. If integrity does not matter to the GOP then they don’t get my vote.

I know. It’s one of those strange twists of fate and nature that your ability to own a house is tied to roads. There’s literally no other possible way to fund their construction or maintenance.
You simply HAVE to tie the ability to live in a home you own to roads.

I'm old enough to remember when Trump said "we have it all" with regard to proof of the "rigged and stolen" 2020 election.
Then, nothing happened.
I think at this point he’s saying such off the wall garbage to purposely tank the election, make SURE the GOP loses in November, so he can go back to his “winning” message of 2021 (and since) which is to claim the election was rigged.
Because he knows the House is most likely toast now and maybe even the Senate too. So he wants to be sure of the loss, so he can use that as a launching point to claim another election was stolen.
It’s the only way any of this and his recent “not going to pursue Biden/Obama” remark makes sense. He’s purposely trying to lose, so he can go back to the only thing that’s worked for him since 2020 (other than Biden’s own incompetence): stolen election claims.
It’s either that or we are witnessing our president mentally decline rapidly, right before our eyes.
It’s astounding.
Ditto.
I may have to make this my new pinned tweet. Been a long time since I changed it.
Seems more appropriate for the times we’re in now though. Sadly.
Dontcha just love it when you hire a couple guys to stain your fence, and they make excuses to not come out until the day before a heavy rain is expected, then come out and only do 1/3 the job, then come back the next day and only do another 1/3, half of which was only done about an hour before the heavy rain?
I know I don't love it.
I guess we're putting the "weatherproof" to the test. @BehrPaint If it holds, you will certainly be getting some serious praise Behr...... but the guys I hired will be getting a SPANKING regardless........
Welcome to my world, going on 6 years now.
I guess we all have our “breaking points”. I jumped off the Trump Train when he never could bring his massive ego to admit he lost an election. Even to the point of letting a mob riot at the Capitol.
Whatever brings everyone to sanity though. I say welcome to the party pal.
Remind me to never talk about politics ever again.
Evidently, I can criticize the Democrats all day long and be showered with eternal praise, but if I dare to attempt holding the party that claims to represent my values accountable for failing to deliver on core campaign promises, well, that’s a bridge too far and it makes me a “liberal.”
I’m apparently a “liberal” and “commie” because I don’t like being $40 trillion in debt, want massive spending cuts to be made to welfare and entitlements, and don’t want my tax dollars going to fund endless wars in the Middle East.
I’m getting tired of the MAGA faction’s conformist personality; they’re just like Democrats that way. I’m tired of treating elected officials like they’re God or all-knowing oracles who cannot be questioned. I’m tired of treating politics like a team sport.
Members of Congress and the President are elected to represent us in the federal government. They are not there to rule us. They are just federal employees who are supposed to work for us.
I’m done with Democrats. I’m done with Republicans. I’m done with this the two-party system. Two wings. Same bird. The illusion of choice.
Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves.
Burn it to the ground.
Start over.

Yet Schmitt STILL continued to double down… even knowing he had just made an immense fool of himself.
Trump has really done a number on the integrity/character of the Republican-turned-MAGA party. They are now a bunch of juvenile delinquents.
