That is an Israel problem, not a UK problem. If Israel cannot differentiate its internal economy from the settlement economy, that has no bearing on the UK's legal obligations per the ICJ advisory opinion to not render aid or assistance to help maintain an illegal situation.
Timely @_LFI report arguing a ban on trade with illegal settlements will morph into a general ban on trade and with opp. ahead in polls, "a ban will only help the Israeli right and harm the centre and left’s push for intl. diplomacy". Not currently expecting anything immediate on this from new UK FCDO team.

Starmer’s goodbye gift to UK: a £44.7bn US pharma deal could be more lethal than Covid. Pushes up the cost of NHS drugs, boosts US corporate profits. Secret contract, no debate in parliament. Must renegotiate, produce drugs at home wherever possible. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

The Trump medicines deal hit the headlines today ⚠️ Billions could be siphoned from our NHS to Big Pharma, which would mean this deal could cost more lives in England than Covid. That’s why we and @JustTreatment are taking the UK Gov to court, to fight back. Share this video!

Analysis published in the British Medical Journal has warned there could be 200,000 avoidable deaths in England to complete the terms of the UK-US trade deal. This is because the NHS will have to divert £45 billion from essential services to pay for new medicines under the terms of the deal agreed last December. @SophyRidgeSky and @MattBarbet talk through the potential consequences of this on #CheatSheet. 🎧Listen here: trib.al/e4ZuwWe

Great to see a mention of our and @JustTreatment's work in parliament as MPs called for gov to come clean on the true costs of the US-UK medicines deal. This deal with Trump could cost BILLIONS + hundreds of thousands of lives - yet has not been subject to a democratic vote.

The government has just advised businesses not to trade with illegal Israeli settlements. But with no consequences for businesses that refuse to comply, this is a cop out. We need a complete ban on trade with illegal settlements, and sanctions targeting the illegal occupation.

The UK Government said the NHS would never be on the table in a trade deal with Trump. But that’s exactly what’s about to happen. It looks like they’re about to agree a deal with the US that will see the NHS forced to pay BILLIONS more for medicines.

My article in PoliticsHome ⬇️ politicshome.com/opinion/art… The UK-US pharma deal is woefully short-sighted. It risks costing the NHS billions, undermining NICE’s independence, and pushing up medicine prices under pressure from Trump's bullying and Big Pharma's lobbying. The result will be thousands of lives unnecessary lost. Parliament must have its say. Transparency is non-negotiable. @DHSCgovuk #NHS

This is how appeasement of Trump affects you. UK Govt will pay 25% more to US companies for NHS drugs, bigger corporate profits. UK to Pay of another £7bn a year. Impact - Britons pay higher taxes, face cuts in public services, or face misery and premature death. 👇👇👇👇
Appeasing Trump OECD exempts US companies from global minimum tax. UK to pay 25% more for drugs sold to the NHS by US companies Remuneration of UK private equity execs taxed as capital gain instead of wages. Capital gains taxed at lower rate than wages. leftfootforward.org/2026/01/…
