I’m not saying IU has played well but the number of missed calls by the refs continues to drive me crazy #iubb

Can y’all please go rewatch the #FantasticFour movies again to be reminded that they are NOT good, the cgi is NOT better than it is now and that your nostalgia memory is NOT accurate. Good Lord, I mean just look at this:

And I’m not saying you can’t like them, just stop saying they’re better.

Annoyed by this overemphasis by people on the money aspect of college basketball. Not denying it plays a role but I don’t believe it’s THE driving force of a kid’s decision. So much more goes into it like style of play, coaching staff, teammates, geography, program history #iubb

Things that are true about #iubb : 1. Bringing in a new head coach to overhaul and rebuild one of the great historical programs in college basketball will require a massive amount of time and work, both in the short term and the long. (Thread)

4. There will be a team next year. It won’t be a championship team in all likelihood. But hope is a virtue, given the time and space and respect of some patience, and the team will improve and set a new long lasting precedent to usher in a winning era at IU.

5. It’s March 26th. The tourney is barely halfway through. There’s plenty of time for all the pieces to fall into place. A lot will happen in the next 30 days. Go IU.

#iubb fans, rather than looking at the next coach as a proven home run hire, are there any coaches/assistants that give off the same vibe as an Izzo or Knight at the beginning of their careers? Someone who can build a long lasting program.

Look I don’t disagree that Woodson makes in game decisions that are head scratchers. I also agree that the poor defense at this point in the season is on the coaching staff. But one thing is for sure: Players are getting a ton of open shots and just missing.

And that’s if the personalities between players, coaches, school life etc. all combine just right. Sometimes the expectations are just too high, the discourse is too toxic, the fit just not fitting. These dudes aren’t playing like a squad that is happy and relaxed.

Yes, getting all those things to work in your favor is ultimately the coaches job, but sometimes it’s too big of a storm to be fixed with the snap of a finger. Is Woodson the guy? Is Buckner the head of a secret cabal? Is Dolson sharpening the guillotine? I don’t care. Go IU.

The energy that Rebeca Ferguson gives should be the template for a live action Mary Jane Watson. #spiderman
