It's a lot of time & thus expense to put the set back in place, do the set dressing & lighting then animate a shot like that. If the shot was utterly needed we would wait until many shots from another episode were required on the same set & do a pickup shot at the same time
I didn't animate this part at the mountain rescue center. It may have been a practical issue, that they wasn't physical space for Jupiter & Venus to fit on the set driving in. They are both big & heavy, driving on the far edge of a set originally made for the helicopter
All the 'alarm sequence' shots were made in the initial months of the shoot before we had all the finished scripts, then the sets were taken down to make space for new locations. I don't recall a shot ever being made of Sam getting into Venus with Penny – at Paddington, London
