The time is long past to review this proscription. Arresting 80-year-old clerics on their Zimmer frames for holding up pieces of paper is as ludicrous as it is a waste of precious police resources.

Children are being bullied at school because their parents risk their lives to save people at sea.
This isn’t the Britain we believe in. Farage and his ilk have a lot to answer for.

Here’s a better idea.
Tax the massive windfall profits banks are making from higher interest rates.
And bail out ordinary people for a change!
If a police officer is jailed for corruption, their past cases are NOT reviewed. Winston Trew was framed and spent nearly 50 years clearing his name. Sign to back #TrewsLaw 👇

Well done to @SRTRC_England for all the work that you do in fighting discrimination.
Hope and unity can defeat hate and division. Together, let's show racism the red card!

It’s reported today that Sally Rooney, who many believe is one of the best authors of her generation, has been advised that because she has expressed support for Palestine Action she could be arrested if she comes to the UK. Because she is donating some of the money from the sale of her books to Palestine Action her publishers have been advised that they too could be prosecuted if they sell her books in any form and so they have removed them from the bookshelves and other outlets. I do not want anyone in the UK to miss out on her wonderful writing and so I thought I would read the first paragraphs of her terrific book “Normal People.” I hope others will read further sections of the book so that people do not lose out on the joy of reading h her works.

We teamed up with @AdamBrichto and partners at @38Degrees and @Oxfamgb to ask people in Reading about wealth taxes.
All across the country, people support making the super-rich pay their fair share.

Today marks the start of the ISDS Global Days of Action ✊🏽🌍⛓️💥
ISDS allows corporations to hold us to ransom. It undermines democracy, threatens human rights and blocks climate action.

🚨NEW: I've tabled a parliamentary motion for a windfall tax on bank profits to fund urgent cost-of-living support.
Britain’s biggest banks have made tens of billions in windfall profits from the same interest rate hikes that are now hammering households.
They should pay up!

Wow. Donald Trump is giving money to Putin’s war machine so he can keep killing innocent Ukrainians and attacking democracies across Europe.
The UK must lead a coalition of the willing that stands up and says no.

When we talk about taxing the super-rich this is what we mean...
Only 0.03% of the UK population has wealth of more than £10 million.
& someone with £11,000,000 would pay just £20,000 with our Wealth Tax proposal.

Today we marched for Palestine to mark 3 years of genocide.
3 years of bombardment, starvation and unspeakable crimes by Israel — armed, aided and abetted by governments all around the world, including our own.
The genocide never ended. Britain must stop arming Israel, now.

I spoke today at the demonstration organised by the Palestinian Solidarity Committee. In addition to calling for firmer action against Israel by the UK government, to isolate Israel totally
economically and politically I focussed on securing the release of Dr Hussam Abu Safiya and Dr Mazen al Rantisi from Israeli prisons & Fatema Rajwani from imprisonment in our country.

Shell’s refineries expected to make record profits.
Profit margins of $42 a barrel, up from $24 a barrel. Cashing in on global conflicts.
Bumper payouts for exec and shareholders. Misery for households and businesses.
Must levy 100% windfal tax.
