Let's go. It has over 300 co sponsors as a stand alone. It's time to get this done.
A quick message from VFW National Commander Cory Geisler thanking @RepNancyMace for meeting with VFW members and staff yesterday to discuss the Major Richard Star Act discharge petition and other priorities and then providing the 218th signature. ✍️
👏 Also a big thank you to @RepMarkTakano and all members who signed H.R. 1247 to advance this critical legislation in the House. 🏛️

Here are two of my favorite State Leaders here in RI.
Voting is one of the most important ways we can make our voices heard!
Thank you to @RISecState @GreggAmore1 for joining me to knock doors and talk with neighbors. Every conversation is a chance to listen and hear what people want for Rhode Island’s future

Yeah, This.
Veterans should never give up their voice simply because someone predicts what VA might do.
The regulatory process gives veterans the power to challenge bad policy before it becomes final.
Congress shouldn’t silence that voice by prematurely writing a disputed proposal into law.
Veterans’ voices have power. Let’s use them.
Take action and tell Congress to oppose any version of TCAVA that cuts veterans’ earned benefits: votervoice.net/VFW/Campaigns…

Thank you @SenWhitehouse for this quick message recognizing #NationalPurpleHeartDay and our 5th Anniversary of the RI Purple Heart Trail. The Senator was slated to participate in our ceremony this afternoon but it looks like he will be in DC around that time. @VFWHQ @VFW_Office
I am sending love and peace to the families about to find out their US Military loved one was killed and it was epic.
This is outstanding! Thank you Senator Reed for assisting in finally recognizing Joe's sacrifice in the service of our country. Great to see my VFW Post member Ernie C also there.
Honored to present Mr. Joseph Machado from West Warwick w/ the Purple Heart he earned in Vietnam. While it’s been 55 years since Joe was wounded in combat serving in the @USArmy, we are forever grateful for his service & sacrifice to our nation.
This is my Representative! Thank you for having the backs of our Veterans and their families. Nothing like coming to a hearing with living receipts. @SethMagaziner @Rep_Magaziner @VFWHQ
Magaziner: How many US military veterans have you deported?
Noem: Sir, we have not deported U.S. Citizens or military veterans.
Magaziner: We are joined on zoom by a gentleman who is army combat veteran who was shot twice while serving our country in Panama in 1989. Earlier this year, you deported him to Korea. Can you please tell Mr. Park why you deported him?
I am so proud of the VFW RI Service Office. Stephen and Mike are top notch and part of a team os VFW Service offices that brought in $16 Billion to Veterans and their dependants. OUTSTANDING work!!!
$16.2 billion - with a B! Another BIG shout out to our National Veterans Service team - your dedication is commendable and the work you do day in and day out is truly impactful. 🙌🇺🇸 @VFW_OfficeDC

Sam is one of the best advocates veterans have here in RI. He was a game changer in getting the Claim Shark Bill passed.
Great stuff.. looking forward to more like this!!!
Ahead of the VFW’s 126th birthday, we’ll be posting little known facts about the VFW leading up to our birthday on September 29!
Members of the still-identified Army of the Philippines, Cuba and Puerto Rico pose in front of a Heinz 57 Varieties Company Pittsburgh on Sept. 17, 1914. That August, the new name had already been decided by referendum: Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Amazing stuff here. Deb is a tireless advocate for Rhode Islanders and @RIElderInfo provides vauabe resource. I know personally how AWESOME Deb is.
Decisions made in D.C. have a big impact on older Rhode Islanders—from Social Security to health care access to the rising cost of prescriptions.
I had a great conversation with Deb Burton from @RIElderInfo about these issues and more.

I am so proud of the VFW RI team who drove this effort. It took two years to get it on the Governor's desk to make it law.
#ICYMI Rhode Island Enacts Law to Shield Veterans from Predatory Claims Agents: Before adjourning in June, the State of Rhode Island General Assembly became the latest state legislature to pass a law aimed at protecting veterans from predatory, unaccredited claims agents, often referred to as Claim Sharks.
These entities charge steep fees to “coach” veterans through the VA disability compensation claims process, despite lacking VA accreditation, training, or oversight. Rhode Island’s new law prohibits anyone from advising or assisting a veteran with a VA disability claim, unless authorized under federal law, and empowers the state to enforce penalties under its deceptive trade practices statute. #DontFeedTheSharks #Veterans #VABenefits

CiC is truly a good man. He walks the talk.
Today's Minute of Service spotlights Army veteran and VFW National Commander Al Lipphardt. Chief Lipphardt is a battle-tested infantryman turned national leader serving as the voice of more than 1.4 million members of the VFW and its Auxiliary and he’s not afraid to use it. #service #infantryman #VFW #stillserving #purpose
Always great to visit with our State Representative while in DC. @Rep_Magaziner (Road Dog) is a big advocate of us Veterans and our families. @VFW_OfficeDC @RepJasmine #dontfeedthesharks
