A spokesperson from Tidelines Book Festival shares: “We are delighted to be hosting an event once again at the Harbour Arts Centre, the flagship venue for arts, performance and culture here in North Ayrshire.
“We’ve been running for twelve years now, and the aim of Tidelines Book Festival events are all about spreading the love of reading and creative writing to all ages.
“This Friday, our Scrievin’ and Scran event returns to bring a bit of joy in January during the same month as Burns Night.
“We are excited to welcome a host of local poets and spoken word writers on stage as part of an open mic night, and the scran element consists of a delicious pie during the interval, so you’ll be entertained, and tummies will be lined during half-time if you come along!"
The event will feature two Ayrshire-based writers, Gerry Cambridge and Tracy Harvey and performances from guest local writers with open mic spots for those brave enough to step up to the mic.
Audience members can expect an evening of warmth, wit, wisdom and a few surprises along the way...
Recommended for ages 14 years and over, the performances will take place on Friday 24 January at 7.30pm.
Follow @HACIrvine for a run-through of all other exciting events happening with fun for all the family.
Located at Irvine Harbourside, the Harbour Arts Centre has nearby parking and Duncan's café and toilet facilities are on site. The venue is on the flat and is fully-accessible #supportlocalwriters #LoveNorthAyrshire
