Absolute disgrace that not only is the Orange Order allowed to hold a stall at Queens freshers but that they are allowed to use fascist rhetoric

Dissident republicans may have mounted gun attacks on police had officers cleared a path for an Orange parade on the Garvaghy Road, the High Court has heard.

Naomi Long casually insinuating Catholics aren’t Christians or moral.
Apparently a mistake but a pretty big slip of the tongue.
Only solution the complete banning of all OO marches.
Republicans and Nationalists are now galvanised and united in our demands for a United Ireland.

This tweet shows how social democrats are traitors. Garrett Mullan, SocDems election candidate and member of “Irish Left With Ukraine”, is here seen attempting to discredit the Garvaghy Road community. In other words, he is doing the work of the British State!

So many playing down Naomi Longs tweet. The important part is the comparison between OO & residents i.e 'I hold more hope...'due to Christian ethos of OO. Plenty have appealed to the ethos over the last few days without reaction. The comparisons is what is shocking.

Nationalists brought the north the Fleadh. A happy all inclusive festival of traditions & music.
Unionism is now bringing us Drumcree II. A depressing attempt at caging a whole new generation in sectarian divisive politics.
Protestant people - make a choice for your kids.

Sounds interesting but no one in our community will agree with you. I suspect many in the unionist community aren’t with you on your assertion
What has happened in Portadown over the last 48 hours has ramifications which will echo for years. Michelle O’Neill has shown an understanding of constitutional law which is closer to that of a medieval monarch than a democratic government minister.

The Parades Commission ruled certain bonfires had to be removed back in July.
The PSNI refused due to the “risk to community relations”.
Yet the PSNI are determined to force through this anti-Catholic march.
Only one community matters the the PSNI (RUC).
They hate Catholics.

The Irish team (especially the Brentford players!) are cowards! No Israel sympathiser should play for Ireland also get him out !
🚨🇮🇪 It is understood that #SaintsFC’s Finn Azaz, who has Israeli heritage so deep that he's on record as saying that his maternal grandmother was "a general in the IDF", made an impassioned speech to his international teammates at a meeting in Pristina on Friday, and again at another meeting in Debrecen, Hungary.
It's not yet known if Azaz's words swayed the Ireland squad members who were on the fence about playing tonight’s game against Israel.
Azaz is ‘likely to have given a view of the Israeli side of the debate, not easy to do when faced with what we can imagine is an ingrained opposition to that country's actions in Gaza and Lebanon’.
Whether Azaz wants to play for Ireland again is in doubt.

Unionist playbook.
1. Call Orange march without required 28 days notice.
2. Parades Commission approve 2 days before.
3. Force nationalist residents into legal appeals on Saturday.
4. Run down clock so they can't notify protest.
5. Declare protest 'illegal', let riot cops loose.

A lot of you from outside Ireland are probably hearing about the Garvaghy Road and wondering what all the fuss is about.
1998 -
After the parade was banned from marching on the Garvaghy Rd, ten Catholic churches were set on fire across Ulster in one night.
In the following days, loyalists attacked Catholic homes, schools and businesses. Multiple houses were petrol-bombed, resulting in the murder of 3 young boys, the Quinn brothers. Their home was targeted because their mother was Catholic.
She mother woke to the sound of her children screaming in fear and the house full of smoke. Sadly the boys, Jason, Mark and Richard, did not make it out.
Garfield Gilmour was sentenced to life in prison after he admitted to driving three members of a UVF unit to the house, but later that was reduced to manslaughter.
Johnny McKay and brothers Raymond and Ivan Parke were named by Gilmour as the killers, but were never charged because of a lack of evidence.
In the days following the murders, loyalist bands defied orders not to play music while marching passed the home of the Quinn boys grandmother.
Tonight, a court overturned an earlier ruling banning the parade from marching on the Garvaghy Road, crowds have gathered and confrontation now seems inevitable with that march set to go ahead early Sunday morning.
The courts allowing this march to go ahead is absolute madness!

Why does Roy Keane, the most opinionated man in the history of Irish football, have nothing to say about Ireland's opportunity to lead a sporting boycott of a country committing genocide?

A big deal was made of the fact that Northern Ireland now has a nationalist First Minister.
Some said this showed our society had changed, with equal opportunity for all.
Yet today, the First Minister might still be attacked and arrested by riot police, for being a nationalist.

Now we must ask.
Why did the PSNI make a false assessment/lie to the parades commission in favour of allowing the Orange Order to walk down Garvaghy Road.
