Congratulations to Thread young person Derionna on passing her road test on the first try AND getting a new apartment! Hard work pays off, especially with the support of Thread and her volunteer, Christina.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, @BCGSguitar hosted its Guitar Petting Zoo during threadHOURS® at TouchPoint. Thank you to teacher Alejandro Bustamante for cultivating a fun and creative space to connect!
Thread volunteer Jennay recently met with her young person, Zay, for the first time at one of the Thread community's favorite hangouts, @RHouseBaltimore! Since then, they've met several times to work on goal-setting and future planning. 📝
Congratulations to Thread R&O Manager Fernanda Rodriguez on receiving a Community Champion Award from the Latino Providers Network as part of their Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! She was also recognized by the City of Baltimore for her work both in and outside of Thread.
Thread Family Crystal, Sophia, and Deasia headed over to @Chilis to celebrate Deasia's recent graduation and new job! This is a great example of the kind of activities that Thread Family's do together - celebrate wins, work through barriers, and create meaningful connections.
Huge shout-out to our volunteers at @MorganStateU and the MSU Thread Club for supporting recruitment on campus this fall! We couldn't build a better Baltimore for everyone without you. 🐻🧡💪
We brought out the Baltimore Monopoly boards during threadHOURS® at TouchPoint last week! These boards not only feature Thread (as a Community Chest space), but also iconic places like @MissShirleys! Have you played Monopoly lately? 🎲
This summer, Patterson volunteer Justin offered sailing lessons to Thread young people! Pictured is young person Dontay, who got a chance to captain the boat for a bit on a particularly nice day. Have you ever been sailing in the Baltimore harbor?⛵
🌟 Happy Labor Day from all of us at Thread! 🌟
Today, we honor the hard work and dedication of individuals who contribute to our communities and the history of the labor movement. In recognition of this important day, our offices will be closed.
Michael, a young person from Thread's Patterson community, recently visited @CCBCMD
to check out the campus and begin the enrollment process for the Automotive Technology program! We are so excited to be part of Michael's next big step.

Hi! What are you looking to connect about so I can direct you to the correct person?
What's a favorite haunt of the Thread community? @RHouseBaltimore, of course! When a planned hike got rained out, the Douglass community pivoted to dinner at R House so everyone could get something they like. What's your favorite place to eat in Baltimore? 😋
As part of summer engagement, our Patterson team took a group of young people to the @NationalZoo! What's your favorite animal to visit? 🐾
Want to experience Smalltimore for yourself? Volunteer with Thread! Thread Family members Tyna and Siobhan separately attended the Carnival festival in Druid Hill, only to find each other in the crowd for a joyous reunion.
Do you want to be part of a team creating a better Baltimore for everyone? Then work with Thread! We have several open positions, including for Service Year applications. Go to thread.org/careers to learn more.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
LEO co-founder Bill Evans, research faculty Jonathan Tebes, and research associate Annabelle Sauer visited our partner @ThreadBaltimore. For Annabelle, the visit "reinforced how valuable in-person time can be for strengthening research partnerships and advancing our evaluations."
