A truly inspiring experience! #TGFSRC
We had a valuable opportunity to dive into the latest advancements in the field, learn from cutting-edge discussions and connect with brilliant scientists from academia and industry. We came back full of energy and new ideas!💡🧪🧫
Our lab presented six poster presentations and gave three oral presentations showcasing our latest work. 😎💪
Above all, we were delighted that Drew Howard won first award for best short talk and Jacob Mast won second prize for best poster presentation. 🏆👏🔝
What an amazing week behind TTlab! 🎉
From July 21 until July 25, we participated at the FASEB TGF-β Superfamily conference held in Niagara Falls, NY. 🌊

Our graduate student, Jacob Mast, received funding from the American Heart Association for his research and was awarded for excellence by the UC Department of Molecular & Cellular Biosciences 👏🧫🧪🔝
Dr. Thompson was invited to participate in the Nobel symposium 'TGF-β Family: Future Frontiers in Medicine and Physiology' that took place at Bergendal, Sweden 🇸🇪, from the 27th to the 30th of May. 👏
In summary, our research into AMH's non-latent signaling offers groundbreaking insights into its structure, function, and evolutionary history, laying the groundwork for future therapeutic developments.
Many thanks to the lab and to our collaborators in Boston! 10/10
Our study sheds light on AMH's signaling mechanism, revealing how the prodomain's unique structure facilitates receptor interaction without inducing latency, offering a novel perspective on the mechanism. ✨9/10
Mapping specific mutations within the AMH prodomain highlights their impact on signaling. Our research connects these mutations to disorders like PMDS and PCOS, emphasizing the prodomain's significance in these conditions. 8/10
The helical bundle domain of the AMH prodomain, pivotal for its function, emerged from an exonic insertion approximately 450 million years ago. This evolutionary innovation has been crucial for AMH's signaling ability. 🕰🧬 7/10
