Wat Lode altijd doet is eerst grondig de feiten en wetenschappelijke literatuur overlopen vooraleer zich een mening te vormen (in casu: over de rellen in Frankrijk). Anderen kunnen er veel van leren.

Wat Europeanen kennen als de 'Palestijnse' vlag is in werkelijkheid de vlag van het pan-Arabische islamo-socialisme en dus geen nationale vlag. Dat verklaart waarom jonge moslims zich in Frankrijk met die vlag tooien, wanneer ze daar rellen tegen de Franse staat en maatschappij. Die vlag is het symbool van de drang bij hen naar suprematie van hun cultuur en religie, boven de niet-Arabische cultuur en niet-Islamitische religie in Frankrijk die deze zouden "onderdrukken". Dat er onder links ook een boel naïeve niet-moslims bestaan die zich in die vlag tooien, of ze aan hun raam hangen, verandert daar niets aan. Het is de betekenis die moslimjongeren daaraan hechten die telt.

Hendrik Vos' punt is imo dat radicaalrechts en radicaallinks goed op elkaar lijken in hun afwijzing van de rechtsstaat, instituties zoals de media en 'het corrupte systeem' (=horseshoe theory). Hij klaagt vooral de hypocrisie van LePen en consorten aan.
Academici en klassieke media lijken echt in een parallel universum te leven. Volgens deze ‘analyse’ zijn de massale plunderingen en brandstichtingen in Frankrijk — letterlijk onder Palestijnse vlaggen, met steun van antifa en Greta Thunberg, gepleegd door voornamelijk Noord-Afrikaanse jongeren — de schuld van… radicaal-rechts en Marine Le Pen. 🤯
Werkelijk verbijsterend. Doe geen moeite, @hendrikvos: Le Pen zal ook wel de verkiezingen winnen zónder uw nijvere inspanningen.
FTR: Het klopt dat er veel extreemlinksen en jongeren met migratieachtergrond onder de relschoppers zaten. Maar dan is de vraag: wat doen we met die kennis? Het 'benoemen' van dat feit is nodig, maar het is ook niet genoeg. Er moeten ook voorstellen tot oplossing zijn.

De valkuil is om extremistische islamitische groeperingen 'gelijk te geven' door het als een beschavingsstrijd te framen.
Want dan ga je ook onschuldige, vreedzame moslims beginnen wantrouwen. Zo ontstaat een spiraal van wantrouwen en vijandigheid.

Het is (uiteraard) duidelijk dat er veel jonge mannen met *migratieachtergrond* deelnemen aan plunderingen (toch in zoverre dat er beelden de ronde doen). Wat ik betwijfel is dat er veel *migranten* meedoen. Mijn gok is dat dit overweldigend Franse staatsburgers zijn.
