I'm over my WC tantrum now. I thought 3rd place game would be depressing as the players would switch off. Instead they went for it and celebrated their medals like proper role models. The squad did us proud, hopefully Tuchels learnt a big lesson for the Euros

Look how much the #WatfordFC victory over Charlton means to head coach Alessio Dionisi after a turbulent week.

Sorry to be positive but this is exactly the performance we needed. Intelligent play, winning cheap fouls, getting plenty of possession/making chances. I'll say it very quietly, Kayembe has been excellent, Keben more confident. If Dionisi turns this around, fair play.
Overall a much better half from us but Charlton will be happy that they soaked up the pressure and grew into the game. We've been wasteful with chances but at least we're making some. Desperate for Boadu to get a goal and some confidence. Better but 2nd half could go either way
Okay this is my favourite ever interview with @T_Deeney
The canteen part with 'what did you do about it at the time Tom' in ref to Ince's interview is spot on.
The ownership is what it is, for now. So us fans and players need to come together.
@Mattiepollock4 should listen
What worries me most is that Gino clearly doesn't care what anyone thinks. He has his view of how things are and he'll cut out the noise. That means the only thing that changes is more and more ex players speaking out, players won't want to come here, fans suffer.
Roy's meeting with Gino today because he's worked tirelessly for 15+ years to make this a better club for all. He's sacrified a lot. Miracles won't happen today & he owes no one individual an answer they demand. Trust he will do his very best for all of you, as he always has done

Seven defeats in Watford’s last nine matches have piled pressure on Alessio Dionisi, but the club’s problems run far deeper that their head coach:
🔻 £14m wage bill one of Championship’s lowest
💸 Unwilling to pay players more than £10,000 a week
❌ Not a penny paid on summer signings
🗣️ Fans revolting against trigger-happy owner

Since Tom Ince’s #watfordfc interview I’ve exchanged several messages with various ex-players and coaching staff from the last decade. I’m not going to name them, but this is some of what they said.
Warning: Distressing and graphic language
An undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has found multiple elected councillors and party candidates expressing racist views and using offensive language.
ITV has obtained secretly recorded footage showing Reform officials from across England and Wales using violent, racist and sexist language.
Councillors Alan Feeney, Chris Whelan and Jamie Campbell did not reply to our request for comment. Councillors Feeney and Whelan have since resigned from Reform UK.
In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said: "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed."
"Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations."
Tom Ince just said on radio “Watford is a fantastic football club but there’s too many cooks in the kitchen who have different opinions. I saw these results coming - they don’t have a Livermore or a Hoedt to guide the younger players. The recruitment in the summer was soulless”
I read today that some leagues abroad have a maximum of 1 managerial dismissal a season.
They brought in an overseas loan rule because of Watford, would love them to bring in another rule because of us.
We're all making light of it, me included but this is devastating to watch play out. Its been a long time coming and almost needed to happen but doesn't make it any easier. Likely a long tough road ahead still, it will test us greatly as supporters.
Pathetic from us once again, playing like a sunday league team once again.
But my word this commentary is utterly woeful. Saying Kayembe is our most consistent performer and completely ignoring the offside on the second.
