๐จ New video! ๐จ
Theme parks are great, but they're just not the same anymore
The joyful theme park experience of yesterday is a far cry from what we get today
And that demise all started with just a single idea - Disney's FastPass

This is quite the strange way to justify bad performance.
Concert attendance is up 50% 2024 compared to 2019. Sports attendanceโฆ also up.
People arenโt staying home, they just arenโt going to your attractions.

An open letter to AI enthusiasts:
Symbols are how we interact with the world, but they cannot fully capture the thing they are describing. You can find beauty in symbols, but you, as a human, must remember the value of what exists beyond them. It is possible to love both.

I redesigned an entire theme park land, led a team through a brutal deadlineโฆ and finished my last piece of art hours before going into surgery with a shattered collarbone.
This is a story about resilience, leadership, and creating under extreme pressure. ๐งต ( 1 of 10 )

As you may know, @ZDTamusement park is closing soon. While the future of the Switchback roller coaster is unknown, we presented the owners, Danny and Sarah, a way to honor them and for them to remember the ride.

This is really sad. The first park manager in a long time that really seemed to โgetโ what the place needed and focused on a lot of stuff that went otherwise uncared for.
Bianca Sammut, Vice President of Alton Towers, is leaving her role at the resort. Head over to the website to read her full statement.
We thank Bianca for her dedication and wish her all the best for the future.

Finally back to working on the massive @THORPEPARK project, cracking on with the final part of major land geometry! (as viewed from the top of #Hyperia!)

And here we have it, a completely properly supported #Hyperia in @nolimitscoaster! There's still plenty more work to do on buildings, generating a 3D model for the track, support additions, before its all complete but it's a huge milestone! (1/2)

I may not have had a full post ready to go with the newest developments (Thanks work!) but I'm still working on that updated structure, almost there now! ๐ #Hyperia

Finally got around to doing some stuff on Hyperia, it's been a pretty busy time between work, holidays and other events.
The mega structure for the first drop is in, colour split and its very very imposing to stand under and look up! (More screenshots in replies!)

Final 2023 project update from me! Reaching towards 236...
Some creative liberties taken for what I expect the top of the new structure will look like, but I'm excited to continue this in January after a Christmas break!
Have a free #Hyperia tonight from me @J_Silkstone!
Thomas C retweeted
Not a huge amount new to show off here, just the colour splits getting sorted for the structure now so that it matches up properly! ๐ #Hyperia

Reminder that when people have their work used in a game but they aren't involved with development anymore, they should still be credited!

Bit of a call to action here, we've done some scouring already and got a lot, but if anyone has any photos from inside X/TWD's pyramid, ride area, queue, or old archive media that you don't mind being used as references, please to get in touch if you're happy to share them! ๐
