Ten years ago today.
In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for.
Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China.
We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

BREAKING: The US is sending the USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit to the Middle East, adding more than 10,000 sailors and Marines, and will arrive around the November midterms, two US officials confirm to Fox News.
It will be the third carrier in the region, joining the USS George H.W. Bush and the USS George Washington.
This comes in despite today's baseless reports about an imminent peace deal or negotiations.
Iran said today it is prolonging talks to deny Trump a political victory before the midterms and is preparing for renewed US and Israeli attacks.

BREAKING: Trump administration considers large-scale strikes on Iran's Kharg Island, which handles around 90% of Iran's oil exports, to force concessions on the nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz before the November 3 midterms, per senior US sources cited by Israel Hayom.
The options include massive precision strikes on oil storage tanks, oil pipelines and loading facilities on the island, as well as military installations there and elsewhere. Trump discussed them with advisers at the Defense Department and the CIA.
The sources say fears of electoral losses are pushing Trump to "seek a foreign policy achievement before the midterms." Strikes on Pickaxe Mountain remain on the table in parallel, with Kharg not cancelling the other out.
Iran has already warned that "All oil, economic and energy infrastructure throughout the region that own US stocks or cooperate with the US will be immediately destroyed and turned into a pile of ashes," in return.

I'm staying in France's West Coast at the moment and I saw nothing on Saturday. Some areas of the country were impacted but seems like aside from a LV store in Bordeaux, L'Ouest was okay.

We have no hereditary memory of fascism.
In Britain you go to the Churchill War Rooms or bombed out areas of London.
In France you go to Normandy and in Poland you go to Auschwitz.
The scourge of Nazism is in the veins of those countries. It lives in their schools, their field trips, their national consciousness.
We had a Nazi movement here too, America First in the late 1930s.
Charles Lindbergh led it, there was even a Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden.
Franklin Roosevelt banded together with people who had strength and courage and put that movement down.
We don’t have that now. We have jellyfish.
Republican politicians put their personal power, their personal needs, their self-aggrandizement ahead of the American public.
The Constitution is still there and the institutions are still there.
But the people who are supposed to use them are hiding under their desks.
