What my plan would be for the Braves, position by position: Catcher - Extend Baldwin, trade Murphy, sign Tyler Stephenson. Goal here would be for Baldwin to catch 100 and Stephenson to catch 60 and be a DH option. 1B - Olson is fine. Would cross train Stephenson at the role for late season/late games when Olson needs a break in the field. 2B and SS - pick up Ozzie's option. re-sign Dubon to around $12M/year. See if Southisene, Lodise, Jarvis can be a full-time MLB bat and fielder in spring training. Get some cheap veteran depth like what Mateo was. Unless you can bring in Jazz Chisolm for 2nd. That could just be fun. 3B - Riley - Get his ass in the batting cages all offseason with someone who can fix his swing OF - Pick up Ronnie's option, sign Randy Arozarena, let Mike Harris be Mike Harris. Keep Yaz for depth. Maybe see if Hartman can come up during the year, or surprise in ST. Ronnie, Randy, Yaz all options for DH. Maybe see what happens with Louis Robert, JR. If he's down to come here, could be a good reclamation project. DH - platoon this shit again. Baldwin for 60 games, but the other 100, just use for resting players from the field and/or having a depth guy get a day. Starters - Keep Sale, Re-sign Mahle and Perez. Hope Elder, Holmes, Schwellenbach, Waldrep, Wentz, Strider can all get healthy. Maybe Ritchie has a shot here too. Go out and sign Sonny Gray. Better to have 12 starters capable and stash some in AAA than just rely on 5 capable guys. Bullpen - re-sign Iglesias. See if Kerr can be the dominant lefty SU guy. Try not to overwork the same 3 guys all year.
