Well my time as a classroom educator has come to an end (at least for the moment)! As of August 3rd, 2023,I was officially appointed as an Assistant Principal at Ella Fitzgerald Middle School (formerly Dozier Middle School)! It is a lot of truth to the saying “Hard Work Pays Off”!

2 solid reads that provide practical info for anyone working with young people in various capacities! When asked what has been keys to being successful in my 14 years in the education field I’ve detailed information that @RJMotivates & @TommieMabry highlight in their books! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

Didn’t get a chance to catch up with @PrincipalKafele this years to sign my other book as I did last year but I know his sessions was bananas as he is ON FIRE to impact school staff to make sure we are applying equitable practice to reach our kids especially black & brown males!

Day 3 of learning started off (in my DJ Khaled voice) with “Another One” Powerful & Impactful session by @TommieMabry that challenges us in the education field to look at things from the students perspective to effectively reach them! “Before you try to teach me, do you know me”

Impactful session by @purposepushers to end my day of learning that challenges us educators to raise the pivotal question “Is This Lesson For ME or YOU” as we have to perfect the art of CRT - Culturally Responsive Teaching while trying to reach our students!

Was looking forward to sitting in on a empowering session from @FredYeakey as he had a powerful session last year! Get to the conference and he is not a presenter this year! #SREBSummer

Great first learning session delivered by a NUPE @RJMotivates! Achievement 👌🏾♦️👌🏾#SREBSummer

Just trying to leave my mark & make an impact somewhere & somehow! @oduedlead @nnschools #MonarchLead #EducationalLeader

Truly Grateful! Blessings continue to knock at my door! #TrustTheProcess
