Even if/when Trump declares a natl. emergency to try to take over elections, he has NO CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY for that.
Courts will block it. And if courts don't, all pro-democracy Americans will need to make their voices peacefully heard.
The founders wrote the Constitution to prevent presidents from becoming kings, and they expressly gave states the power to administer federal elections. No emergency powers, executive orders, or other sources lawfully give the president any power to change election-related laws.
