I'd say depending on the family member and what kind of relationship they have with them, I wouldn't doubt it if some of these arranged marriages are attempts at sabotage. Families are too dysfunctional for me to believe they'll choose the best partner every time.
Being the most progressive male voting bloc hasn't gotten us anything tangible and therein lies the problem. Wanting us to vote while there's nothing for us to vote for is frivolous. We're expected to vote just to avoid being shamed and blamed instead of policy that benefits us.
I think men are opting out seeing how most women see them as a means to extract resources and experiences. Plus, women are always calling attention to the speck in men's eyes while ignoring the log in theirs. This shows up as misandry and contempt while feigning rightousness.

Men are just done pretending the trade-off is worth it when solitude, bros, or better options deliver more peace and respect.

It's always that one variable ppl don't account for when they think they're being smart that sends their whole scheme down the toilet. I'd willing to bet that in this scenario there's a threshold where the effect compounds too fast to correct.
BM men are expected to tolerate the most while being given the least in return from BW. They're just expected to come in and play stepdaddy but are never told upfront what they'll get in return that isn't intangible.
When they wonder where are all the men went to do xyz they'll then remember they aborted them and will have to survive a deteriorating societal infrastructure.
