Bought that BeamNG driving game on my PS5 earlier today. Me and my son have had such a laugh playing on it this evening chasing and crashing into each other. £18 well spent. #BeamNG
Watching the 90 minute coverage of the LFC game on Sky Sports. That was 100% a foul and penalty on Wirtz. #LFC
Just watched the Matchbox movie with my young son. As films go it’s very basic, but for my son he loved it. The fighting, the car chases and crashes, the explosions. It’s a young lads type of film. He’s gone to bed dreaming of being a secret agent now.
What is with all these Patel courts. When the hype dies down, towns and cities are going to be left with empty padel courts everywhere.
Had a nice evening yesterday at Rainhill Beer Festival. Some great beers on, particular favourite was the ‘Rat Catcher’ by Spookton. Just wish it was the weekend already and I didn’t have to work today.
Just noticed there’s a new series of Portrait Artist of the Year on, and they have also changed the judges. Think it was about time the judges had a refresh and they mixed it up.
Decided to give Goldeneye a watch tonight as haven’t seen it in ages. Really surprised at how dated it looks for a 1995 movie, some scenes look like they are from the 80s. Still a great film, but it has made me feel very old.
Finished watching ‘Below’ this evening. What started out as a decent mystery drama, it turned into a really poor B-Movie style by the end. CGI, acting, story all fell off a cliff badly. #Below
October and I’m still wearing shorts and T-shirt. Think I’ve been in shorts for about 6 months now. Don’t want go back to wearing jeans when it goes cold.

🇦🇪 Etihad’s Intervention Raises More Questions Than It Answers
Etihad Airways is perfectly entitled to defend its reputation. What it cannot do is make the findings of an independent commission disappear simply by objecting loudly enough.
Manchester City were found guilty of serious breaches after a lengthy process. The commission concluded that City arranged “sham” contracts with commercial partners, filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of their finances. Those are findings of FACT, however furiously City dispute them.
Now Etihad complains they were never approached, never represented and never given the opportunity to provide information, while considering their legal options.
There's an obvious question. If Etihad possessed evidence capable of demolishing the Premier League’s case, why did Manchester City’s formidable legal team apparently not call them as witnesses during the 12-week hearing?
City have spent years promising “irrefutable evidence”. Their chief executive Ferran Soriano has now described the case as a “conspiracy theory”. Etihad has entered the argument. Sheikh Mansour’s brother, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, chairs the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund which owns Etihad. At some point the impression of entirely separate actors becomes increasingly difficult to sustain.
Then we have Andy Burnham.
The PM says he must “keep my distance” because this is an independent legal process. Yet in almost the same breath he publicly thanked City’s ownership for its investment in Manchester and said he would be “really concerned” to lose them.
That is a peculiar interpretation of keeping your distance.
I’ll be charitable and call it ignorance rather than stupidity. By attempting to say nothing about the process, Burnham managed to say something rather revealing about the wider problem.
Money brings influence. Influence brings powerful friends. And when an independent commission finally says the rules were broken, suddenly an extraordinary number of influential people seem desperately interested in reminding everyone how valuable the accused have been.
Maybe, just maybe, sovereign state-linked ownership of sporting institutions was never the best idea.
Can’t believe City have put out a statement saying they are surprised at the Premier Leagues findings, and they are still saying they are innocent. Desperate times for them. Hope every club that’s able to sue them does.
Spent the afternoon watching Toy Story 5 with the boy. I’m ranking the Toy Story movies from best to worse being 1, 2, 3, 5, 4. No 5 was good, not as good as the originals, but way better than 4 which was rubbish.
Fantastic day out at Torrside. Great beers, nice food, and came home with some bottles to stash away for Christmas too. #Beer 🍻
Arrived at Torrside brewing. Time to enjoy some fantastic beers now. #Beer 🍻
It’s been a busy week but thankfully the weekend is finally here! Starting it with the ‘House IPA’ by Dugges in my new glass from The Craft Diaries. What a beer to find on a supermarket shelf. #Beer 🍻
