The in-game event “Scourge Incursion” is live in #EscapefromTarkov.
A squad of unidentified operatives has infiltrated the TerraGroup underground complex. They’re well-armed and even better trained. Their actions seem almost rehearsed. Rumor has it that they’re led by one of the Arena champions.
Take part in the investigation to uncover what they’re looking for in the Lab.
The event will run until October 20, 8:00 AM BST / 3:00 AM EDT.
I am not bad at Tarkov by any means, but holy shit I just cannot manage to eliminate Wedge and his boys. Their AI is just way too fucked from what I've experienced over the past few days. I am getting railed in the face the very frame they peek a corner from a non-aggro state.
I understand making Wedge more difficult, but this was not the answer. IB is practically impossible for the average player to complete. Unfortauntely, I do not have a solution and I'm sure you've heard this 1000 times since the update. @nikgeneburn @bstategames @tarkov
Everything always happens. Freak the fuck out and panic

Game devs seem to operate under the impression that one streamer's opinion with 10k viewers is 10k players in their game that share said opinion. It's not. It's one opinion. Those viewers aren't your audience, they are the streamer's.

The century-old, monster slayer for hire, tortured as a child, living dirt poor, constantly in mortal peril, hunted by wraiths, peasants, and kings, ostracized, literally died that one time; loses to...a regular bloke.
Addendum: Devs keep trying to balance the game around people (read "streamers") who rush and abuse content that is intended for end game.
Labyrinth is like, <20k xp for a full-headshot, double boss clear.
IB hard nerfed because KORD BREACH players rushed it.
Terminal isn't a map
Labyrinth and Icebeaker could be fun maps to play for end-game content, the issue is how quickly it's possible to get access to it; icebreaker being a prominent example in seasonal.
Just...restrict it in seasonal content? No?
Don't punish PvP because seasonal chuds are abusing it
Lighthouse is definitely "better" after the rework, imo. But I just don't know if the general/overall map concept and design is salvageable at all.
I don't know how a complete, ground-up redesign would impact the lore, but I just don't see how the map can be made enjoyable.
I am coming out of retirement
People are now competing to see who can be the most racist in Counter-Strike 2 to climb in ranking
A new third-party “Slur Tracker” records offensive language used in CS2 chat and puts players on public leaderboards.
People instead of trying to avoid the rankings, some players are apparently spamming slurs on purpose just to climb higher.
The numbers have gotten ridiculous too. One leaderboard needed 976 recorded uses just to break into the top 25, Billypastaking is still leading
Can someone smarter to me explain why you effectly rent games through use of a revokable license and not something like being able to own access to the game? Why does the license have to revokable?
Sony says "reasonable consumers" know they don’t own the digital PlayStation games they buy.
It argues that it's "not plausible" to suggest that when they buy a digital game they actually believe they're "obtaining ownership" of it.

I reckon the problem with a game like tarkov is that the *concept* is incredibly appealing, but people want it to adapt to a play style that is the complete antithesis of what tarkov is.
It's not supposed to be chill, or easy.
It's brutal and punishing.
Mad to think HALF the players that play Tarkov play in PvE. This is a problem with all FPS games in 2026.
You have a small core community that are insane at the game & dominate the casual players so bad they want to just play against AI. Also cheaters, no matter the numbers have massive consequence in a looter shooter too.
Fair fucks to PvE'ers, I can see why.
