12-year anniversary.

The appeal of Brisbane star Lachie Neale has succeeded. He will play in Saturday's AFL grand final. He's been fined $10,000. @7NewsMelbourne

Bulldogs star Tim English is a watch ahead of Friday night’s Swans clash. He’s battling a sore back. Has completed some running drills and now joining main training but not 100% to make the trip to Sydney. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

Essendon’s Mason Redman and Sam Durham locked in for Sunday night’s Carlton clash. Jordan Ridley 50/50 at this stage. Past players Paul Barnard, Mark Johnson and Adam Ramanauskas keen onlookers at Tullamarine. Love to see it. @7NewsMelbourne @7afl

Confirmed season over for Sam Flanders. He'll have Achilles surgery next week. Set for 12-month recovery. Cruel blow for the 24-year old - handled with complete class. @7NewsMelbourne

Mason Redman and Jye Caldwell didn’t get through main training at Essendon. Redman managed a few running drills, then spent some time chatting with Bombers fans. Caldwell warmed up but never looked too comfortable. @7afl @7NewsMelbourne

Collingwood captain Darcy Moore, and Jeremy Howe have got the green light and (at this stage) will face GWS on Friday night. Both getting through this morning’s main session. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

Relief for Collingwood - Darcy Moore cleared of any hamstring damage after tightness during this morning's session. His calf the main reason he's missing Saturday night's Crows clash - eyes to a return after the bye. @7NewsMelbourne @7AFL

Collingwood captain Darcy Moore didn’t get through a fitness test on his calf - won’t play Saturday night against Adelaide. @7NewsMelbourne @7AFL

Early pre-season blow for North Melbourne - George Wardlaw leaving match sim early with a hamstring issue. The hope is that it’s at the minor end (as much as can be given his history). Set for scans - in doubt for round one. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

Pies medicos working overtime. Beau McCreery out for another 4-6 weeks with a recurring foot problem. Darcy Moore still at least another 3 weeks off with a calf. Hopes Dan McStay, Isaac Quaynor and Jeremy Howe will play pre-season v GWS. @7NewsMelbourne @7AFL

As it stands (barring injury or complete change of heart), Marnus Labuschagne is set to open the batting with Usman Khawaja in the First Test in Perth. Green to stay at 3, Smith/Head 4-5, Webster 6. More shortly @7NewsMelbourne @7Cricket

Christian Petracca asked the Crows for an extra year on top of his current 4-year contract, at increased money across the entire deal, which forced the club to reconsider its trade position. He would have been 35 on expiry and one of Adelaide's highest paid players. @7AFL

Adelaide forward Josh Rachele will absolutely not be part of any deal involving Demons superstar Christian Petracca and a potential move to the Crows. The 22-year old is contracted until 2029 and is considered untouchable. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

Scare for young gun Jordan Croft. After Bevo gave him a huge pump up in his presser and confirmed he’s in the 22 - he was taken into the rooms after an awkward landing with concern over his right shoulder - but has since returned. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

Funny scenes at Whitten Oval - Fremantle staff members booted out of Bulldogs training by assistant coach Daniel Pratt. One was former Tigers and Swans ruckman Sam Naismith - so, the least recognisable guy they could send… was Sandilands busy? 😂 @7NewsMelbourne @7AFL

Roos watch: Expecting North Melbourne midfielder Geordie Payne to make his AFL debut v GWS this weekend. Payne was the first pick of the 2024 mid-season draft. Nick Larkey ruled out for the year. @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne

After a super promising month, Ashton Moir is closing in on a new 2-year deal at Carlton 🔒 @7AFL
