Funny thing is, it's actually the opposite - today proves why 12 is the right number, not 24. Texas losing today - means nothing in 2027. Tennessee beats Alabama - oh cool, now Bama is the 17 seed instead of hosting a first round game. So yeah, the 24-team playoff still sucks
