UNVEILING THE CAUSE OF DELAYED POTENTIAL: THE TRAP OF STRIFE 1 Corinthians 3:1–3 (NKJV): “And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?” One of the reasons many believers remain trapped in spiritual stagnation and delayed potential is the presence of strife. You may possess immense spiritual gifts, but if your life is entangled in arguments, offense, bitterness, and division, you can disqualify yourself from accessing higher realms of spiritual authority and wisdom. The Apostle Paul desired to give the Corinthian church "solid food," yet he was constrained to keep them on a basic diet of "milk" because strife had rendered them carnal and immature. Where strife exists, growth halts. There are dimensionally deeper graces, divine revelations, and spiritual mantles that God may never settle upon a heart that is continually embroiled in conflict and division. James reinforces this truth when he writes, "For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there" (James 3:16). If you want to step into the full manifestation of your calling, you must purge your heart of contention. Refuse to be drawn into petty squabbles and continually choose to walk in divine love. I repent for any time I engaged in useless contention or harbored bitterness in my heart. I choose to walk in love, peace, and unity today. Before God hands you the life you asked for he builds the version of you that is ready to handle it. That means discomfort, patience, and seasons where your faith is the only thing keeping you grounded. The stripping away is not punishment. It is preparation.

Start asking God for more than just money. Ask him to increase your capacity to handle what comes with it. Ask to become someone who leads well, loves well, and serves well. The blessing without the character to carry it will not last. Pray for both.
