It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our beloved studio (@CollectiveTO) after 8 years. We created the majority of our works there and like to think that it became a safe and affordable place for others to do the same. This is now an appreciation thread. #theaTO

Your ability to raise money does not mean you are good at making or producing art. It means you are good at sales.
Gratitude to our comrades-in-arms @PandemicTheatre who took the chance with us in 2012. Converted an old barbershop to a DIY studio space. 🖤
We sold 100% of our tickets. Our parents are so proud (even though they just assume that we are headed to ‘broadway’ now).

I am tremendously proud to have co-created this piece with @jivisawesome, @TomArthurDavis, and @PandemicTheatre. We are in Ottawa before heading back to Toronto in March. – at Toronto, Ontario
"Funny, relevant, and may even change how you reflect upon your own identity...the best shows are the ones that stay with you long after you leave the theatre. [The show] resoundingly falls into this category."
Praise for @jivisawesome at @CanadasNAC.

Thanks for coming, Glenn!
Wanted to stay home tonight (brrr), but SO glad I caught Lindsay Mullan's TEASE @ #NextStage2020. This revolutionary comedy show is a funny (of course), smart, instructive, disturbing (that Doris Day number), brave, joyous, deeply humane & honest look at being a woman.

... and I'm not just writing that because I got a shout-out in the show (which I *think* gave me a pass to be a hater?). Hoping TEASE gets remounted. It would be a great addition to a bold theatre company's season. Crow's? Factory? Buddies? Everyone needs to see it.

Learned today that the call center people for Medieval Times have to call you My Lord or My Lady. They answer to Squire. I hope they get paid as well as Doctors. – at Toronto, Ontario
