The Coast Guard will enforce special local regulations in support of the 2023 Windermere Cup in the Montlake Cut and Union Bay Reach between Portage Bay and Webster Point. This regulated area will be enforced from 7 am to 1 pm on May 6, 2023.

We talked to a CBSA and they confirmed that boaters from the U.S. may not cross the border for purposes of pleasure. Now the U.S. border is also closed. We are not sure how long this closure will last? Please check with Customs before making any plans.
The 52 Steps Dock in Ucluelet is a seasonal CBSA Customs reporting station from June 1 to September 30. This is the only Canada Customs reporting station on West Coast Vancouver Island. Not all offices and agents are aware of this reporting station.
