Two hundred years of survival.
My great grandmother, Lily Ebert, an Auschwitz survivor, and Walter Bingham, a Kindertransportee. Both 100 years old.
They are symbols of resilience, having devoted decades to teaching the world about the Holocaust to ensure we never forget.

Thank u @CatMcKinnell for your important words of support for our Holocaust exhibition as part of @NewcastleCC Holocaust Memorial Day events. The story of the Jews of the Soviet Union is a hidden part of Holocaust History and needs to be told. @HMD_UK youtu.be/LhIm9nOgkGk?si=jceI…

This morning @DebraBrunner ran a #Holocausteducation school workshop with 28 students (aged 12-13) from @MardenBridge Middle School. The workshop took place at Bewick Hall, @NewcastleCC City Library based on our Making History Together programme and exhibition.
We explored the rich history of #JewishBelarus. They explored Jewish life before the Second World War (known as the Great Patriotic War in the Soviet Union) and how that life was destroyed during and after the war.
Thanks for having us!
