On this day in 1989 I grabbed the video cassette containing all the famous pictures of the Tiananmen massacre inc the tank man & walked down to the Beijing Hotel lobby. A cop came over to arrest me but a burst of fire outside distracted him & I slipped past. We got the pictures out via Hong Kong.

ADVENTURES IN FATHERLAND
There has barely been a minute of the last ten years that I haven’t enjoyed being with my three sons, Sachin, Carlo and Kier. But I have to admit that the early days were difficult, if not nasty and even hair-raising at times.
Since for some it’s #lent, anyone else out there who’s just kept rolling w/ @dryjanuary into Feb? 53 days in & zero alcohol beer is my go to (But watch out for the ones wot r full o’ sugar!) I haven’t quite saved THAT many calories or dosh. Thanks @SportsOrla for your IG inspo.
