Black wealth has been declining for years. It didn’t start in 2022. Black wealth and land was burned or stolen via policies like urban renewal & gentrification. And while Japanese Americans received reparations…we didn’t. That’s what going on. 🧐

It's okay to not like Harris, just as it is okay not to like any candidate. It is not okay to boss a Black woman around. And if people keep this up, it will make us a much weaker party. It will also backfire against whatever candidates you do like. Find a way to be respectful.
A second year college student asked @ellisaslotkin and the panel:
"Who's going to tell her. Someone has to tell Kamala Harris not to run."
Wow. Just wow.

Really is hilarious how you don’t really hear shit about student loan forgiveness anymore even though Trump literally ended the program that Biden created to make it more affordable to pay off. They all just move on to the next omnicause.
Virtually every university across North Carolina has lost its early voting site. This is a coordinated assault on youth & minority turnout.

For every $100 in white household wealth, Black households hold just $15 (Brookings/Fed data). The racial wealth gap keeps widening — growth alone won't close it. brookings.edu/articles/black…

They are going to privatize federal student loans. This is really bad.
Oh and for those wondering yes this absolutely was part of Project 2025’s plans
SCOOP: The Education Department is making plans to offload student loans from its purview.
The Federal Student Aid office would be an independent agency. The goal is to spin it off within a year, which employees say will sow chaos for 45M borrowers

“Real average hourly earnings down for the sixth straight month… rich people are making a lot of money — God, I sound like Marx. I really don’t want to sound like Marx, but I’m looking at the data.”
The Trump/Republican agenda, folks.

Why does me stating that the vast majority of black people in low income neighborhoods aren’t violent criminals always result in pushback?
"Median net worth for Black families fell by 25%, while it increased for all other racial and ethnic groups. It fell by 55% for people without a high-school diploma, the largest percentage decline for this group in the survey’s history."

I did 18 days in the Orange County jail for sharing meals with the hungry and had to pay $2,000. A friend of mine was late on a payment and the police arrested him in Kentucky as he was giving a lecture to his students and he spent another 6 months in a Broward County jail.

The good people of Memphis have been under a bipartisan military occupation from every level of the police state while they are being posioned by data centers and banning children from public comment
🔥 MEMPHIS: “If you’re not angry, now is the time to get angry.”
A minor says she has been banned from meetings by the @MEM_Council 🤔for speaking out after 7 delayed a data center moratorium vote — without letting the people speak.

The “mass shooting” in Erie, PA was in fact a family annihilation event. A 45-year-old man with a registered firearm killed a 22-mo-old girl, a 5-year-old boy, 2 women, & 5 men.
He killed himself.
We still don’t know his name or the names of his victims. No one will ask ‘where was he radicalized?’ Media will move on. A reminder that every 5 days a man annihilates his family in the USA & men kill 2400+ women annually in gender based violence. Beyond horrific. My God.

Curtis Flowers, a Black man from Mississippi who was tried six times for the same crime by the same prosecutor before ultimately being wrongfully convicted, has died. He was 56.
Attorney Rob McDuff previously called Flowers' case "unprecedented in the history of the American legal system." cbsn.ws/4jOdVsq

You cannot leave prison without a documented place to stay, a job or rehabilitation program lined up, and someone to come and pick you up. There was one woman we met who was there for 2 EXTRA years at the state prison cause she had no living family and simply couldnt get a ride
"Because of Idaho’s overcrowded prison population, some women can’t access the programming that commissioners expect them to complete before they’re released... Those women remain incarcerated longer, delaying access for other women"
