NOVIEMBRE EN PONCE 🙌 thesatoproject.org/os-inform…

OCTOBER IMPACT REPORT IN PONCE: 103 community dogs sterilized and vaccinated 🩺💉❤️‍🩹 We are SO PROUD of this team for bringing Operation Sato to the south of the island. Yesterday’s 20 females and 13 males treated closed out our October work at Clínica Veterinaria Mi Dogtora. But you already know we’ll be back for three dates in November, addressing the overpopulation crisis at the root of the issue with TNR (trap, spay/neutered, return) services offered at zero cost to rescuers and caretakers. Thank you Dra. Rolan, @BISSELLPets and all our incredible volunteers! GOAT team making the dream come true every time 💪 ¡Lo hicimos! Let’s keep going! #SatoStrong #spayandneuter #fixthefuture

Some lovely early morning “customers” at Operation Sato in Ponce 😍 These community dogs will be receiving free spay/neuter and vaccination services to keep their neighborhoods free of unnecessary litters and the spread of infectious disease 🙏🐾 Feeling #SatoStrong 💪

Ever wondered what it would be like to foster? Or, an even better question: ever wonder what it would be like to foster a SATO? 🇵🇷🐕😍 Then we’d love for you to join us for our Foster Information Session TOMORROW, Thursday, October 15, at 7 PM! 🐾 Register here: us02web.zoom.us/meeting/regi…

LIFE WITH HER ✨ Adoptable KISA makes it clear that life with her is pretty magical. Her golden brown eyes and brindle coat make her so beautiful to look at, but according to her fosters, her personality shines even more beautifully 😍 Kisa is a super affectionate cuddle monster who wants to be as close to her people as possible at all times - for belly rubs, head scratches, pets, kisses, you name it. We know someone out there wants to bring Kisa home and spoil her with affection for the rest of her days. So let’s find them together! SHARE KISA so that her adopter can spend life with her 💖 #SatoStrong #adoptdontshop #adoptme #adoptabledog #brindle

OPERATION SATO PONCE: WE DID THAT 💪🐾 Yesterday, dozens of feeding route caretakers and independent rescuers lined the streets in Ponce for the opportunity to get their community dogs treated for free through Operation Sato. Each patient receives $650 worth of high quality veterinary services FREE, which includes spay/neuter surgery, including full physical examination, sterilization surgery, a suite of vaccinations including Rabies and Leptospirosis, preventative flea/tick medications, and injected pain medication and antibiotics. 34 satos receieved these services yesterday. Two were actually found to already have been spayed, but they still received vaccinations and tattoos to mark them as treated. The ripple effects of days like yesterday will be felt strongly in Ponce and neighboring municipalities on the south of the island. And we’re not nearly finished for the month of October. Our next full day of TNR (trap, spay/neuter, and release) is already coming up OCTOBER 9TH! Yesterday’s success would not be possible without our friend and partner Dra. Rolan, who opened her doors to us and offered her skills to help treat the community she has long served at Clinica Veterinaria Mi Dogtora. And to @BISSELLPets, a HUGE thank you for helping sponsor costs of the vetting staff for the day - your commitment to population control through #FixTheFuture is felt strongly in Puerto Rico, and we are so grateful. Thank you to our team, thank you to our volunteers, and thank you to our supporters who donate to fund these crucial interventions on the stray dog overpopulation crisis on the island. 🇵🇷 LET’S DO IT AGAIN 💥💥#SatoStrong PS: To inquire about appointments for future Operation Sato high-volume events for community dogs, please email [email protected]

‼️ Hi friends, coming to you with a time-sensitive ask: ASPEN is in urgent need of a new foster home. This sweet boy is 3 years old, 44 lbs, and flew in on September 19th. He has been adjusting really well in his foster home, but unfortunately, his foster mom has had some unforeseen medical circumstances come up and is no longer able to continue fostering him. We’re looking for a new foster who can give Aspen a safe and comfortable place to settle in. His ideal foster home would be outside of the city, with no cats and no other male dogs in the home. Aspen has already made such a big transition, and we really want to make sure his next move is a positive one. If you’re able to foster him, or know someone who might be a good fit, please reach out. Although of course, an adopter would be ideal!!! Please share with your friends and family too, if you can. Finding Aspen new placement is urgent. Email our team if you're interested or have questions: [email protected]
