One day is all it takes to break a belief.
One day is all it takes to break a city.
One day is all it takes to break a man.

💜 The Color of Royalty 👑
I’ve said it hundreds of times, I’m biased for a beautiful purple book cover.
I feel we had many new purple covers pop up throughout 2026 than previous years. Hoping this energy carries on into 2027.

It's taken a while, but I've finally, finally finished it! It was really good, and Morrith aside, I really liked the rest of the characters. I'm definitely interested in reading the rest of the books! Thank you for the copy of the book, @TheRyanLanz!

Art reveal!
Feast your eyes on the full art for the recent cover redesign for The Way of Stones, announced last month.
I like the range of colors in this, and in the full art, you can see the complete red-to-green change from left to right.
This was illustrated by the talented @jeffbrown67.
Enjoy!
(P.S. stay tuned for the cover redesign reveal—and hardcover release—for Book Three, coming early summer)
Working on sending out some signed & numbered books and making things fancy.

Indie author Ryan Lanz has been putting in the work. Re-releasing the first book with a new cover!! @TheRyanLanz #indieauthor #supportindieauthors
This past week I've been getting back to writing Book Six of the Red Kingdom series, now that I've finished the remembering-what's-in-this-book revision round.
Taking a break from writing it to wrap up Book Five: The Promise of Scars definitely put me out of the mindset of Book Six, but I'm back!
For those who like to be in-the-know, I have a progress meter on my website, and I update my profile on here with my lifetime word count as a bit of a social experiment. Follow along on my journey to 5 Million Words Written.
Almost to 2 million!
It's been great adding to that number again. I'll be adding more to it tonight here soon!
