We've enlisted the help of @TheRothenGroup to clear around 260 tonnes of the invasive weed, Floating Pennywort, from the Nottingham & Beeston Canal. The works will clear the way for boats and allow more light into the water for fish and other wildlife. #KeepCanalsAlive

1/3 Caught on camera! We have been working alongside Ebsford Environmental and @CanalRiverTrust to clear Branston, Dallow lane, Kings Bromley ,Tattenhill locks on the Trent and Mersey canal where silt and debris has built up over the years.

(1/2) Weed finished! After 8 months of clearing over 1500 tonnes of invasive floating pennywort and other aquatic weeds & 100tonnes rubbish we have finally ended the season! Our fleet of convers and harvesters were deployed across London keeping the approx 50km of waterway..

(1/2) The Rothen Group convers are leading the clear up operation in the London Region after storm Babet for the Canal & River Trust. Over two lorry fulls were cleared from this weir in Osterley alone, all material is then taken away for green waste.

What a transformation! We're working with @stwater, @Leicester_News and @TheRothenGroup to remove the invasive weed, Floating Pennywort, from Leicester's waterways. So far more than 70 tonnes of the weed have been pulled out, helping to protect fish and other species.
