"Why are you hating on him?! He's just the mayor!"
Things Mamdani could have done as Mayor but chose not to:
- Ending illegal Palestinian land sales in synagogues
- Dismantling the nypd's SRG units
- Firing Jessica Tisch
- Standing with the BDS movement
- Not legitimize US state propaganda about our enemies through clear rhetoric (Venezuela, Cuba, etc.)
- Stopping all citywide funding for Zionist institutions
- Actually describing what socialism is (news flash: it's not about reforming capitalism...)

Nobody tells you about these jobs when it’s time to choose a career
Because whooping cranes had disappeared from the eastern United States for over a century, captive-bred chicks had no wild adults to teach them the route south. To re-establish the flyway, pilots flew open-cockpit ultralight aircraft while wearing hooded crane costumes to serve as the birds' surrogate migratory parents.

Who's this apology even for?
Anti-Zionists hate you for being a coward and Zionists hate you because you're not one of them. Are you apologizing to the spirit of forgiveness?

THEY JUST SET A PUBLIC UNIVERSITY ON FUCKING FIRE!!! AND THE POLICE WONT INVESTIGATE AMERICAN INTERFERENCE, OR FLAVIOS PEDOPHILE VP. We are in danger, this is a coup.

Vote for Mamdani if you care for Palestine. As mayor, he can help Plaestinians
He would make the same decisions as Netenyahu would in his position, but that's because the mayor has literally no power. Especially over Palestine

My dear brother Eyup Lovely @eyuplovely 🤍🎂
For your birthday, we wanted to give you something from our hearts. So we decided to paint our gratitude on the walls of Gaza itself.
The young members of Project Mohammed painted your portrait on one of the walls still standing amid the destruction—a birthday gift from the people whose lives you have touched. Here, your voice has helped bring water to thirsty children, bread to hungry families, and meals to people exhausted by hunger.
The war may have destroyed the buildings around us, but it could never erase the gratitude in our hearts. We wanted your portrait to remain here, among the people you stood beside during the most difficult days of their lives.
When the children see your portrait, we want them to know: “This is Eyup—a man who may be far away, but whose heart is very close to Gaza. His voice helped bring us water and bread.”
On your birthday, we hope you can feel some of the warmth you have brought into our lives. Behind every distribution you helped make possible are families who may never have met you, but who have felt your kindness in something as real as a meal shared with their children.
You helped the world see and hear us.
You stood beside our young team.
And you gave others a reason to stand beside us too.
From the children of Gaza, the young members of Project Mohammed, and the depths of our hearts: happy birthday, brother. May the year ahead bring you kindness, friendship, and many reasons to smile.
Please accept this mural as a small gift of love from Gaza. Your impact will remain in our hearts—even if these walls disappear one day. 🤍🇵🇸
If you would like to celebrate Eyup’s birthday with us, help continue the work he has supported. Every donation helps us bring more water, bread, and meals to families in Gaza.

the far-right is burning down universities... this one is specifically for research, everything was lost.

in 2018, during a right wing government post-impeachment, led by Michel Temer, who supports Bolsonaro, our National Museum caught fire. Bc they always cut funds for education. It was a tragedy, decades of research lost.
2026, far-right fanatics set a public university on fire

Far right voters just bombed the medicine lab in the campus of a public university in Pernambuco, northeast Brazil, in answer to students protesting against Bolsonaro, destroying years of scientific research. This is how serious the situation is right now.

why do USians act as if they invented class consciousness when they don’t even have a serious left movement whatsoever and havent had one in over 120 years
a while ago I made a bunch of unhinged requests to Amazon's shopping AI about things like "the best conceal carry holster for my dog" and I'm pleased to announce it's paid off
ALT Home & Family > Has a Doberman that is a guard dog and an ex-police dog Home & Family > Dog was part of a CIA experiment to allow dogs to carry firearms Home & Family > Dog has a bionic prosthetic with recoil suppression Home & Family > Dog has a Glock 40 Home & Family > Dog is highly trained in the use of a Glock 40 Home & Family > Dog is trained in the use of force Home & Family > Has a cat

There is a psychotic sense of entitlement spreading around the world that imagines humans own the fish in the sea and demands retaliatory killing of predators who rely on these fish.
Even centuries-old sages of the Arctic Ocean are not safe from this deranged human delusion.

This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.
