Thank you to everyone who read and supported the "Dear Nancy Grace Letters." Our completely innocent friends Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, and Morgan Seymour appreciate your support more than you know. It means a lot to them. Truly. Being falsely accused is an almost incomprehensible ordeal. My colleague and friend J. Tyler Cox and I have two simple goals: (1) restore the good names of these completely innocent young men, and (2) hold those who defamed them accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Appearing for interviews is a big part of (1) restoring their good names. Maybe even more than these social media posts. And there's a lot we are willing to tolerate from hosts because they give us a platform to zealously advocate for our clients. We are grateful for that privilege. Indeed, even when we disagree with an interviewer, be it personally or politically, it's still a privilege to be invited on to a show and have the opportunity to talk about the incredibly important fact that Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo, Morgan Seymour are completely innocent. We never take that privilege lightly. Moreover, we strongly believe that the host gets to run the show in the manner he or she sees fit. We respect that. Really, we do. The host gets to select the format, the questions, and the topics. We never make any demands or preconditions, and nothing is scripted. We just show up and answer the questions as asked. No problem there. It's not our place to dictate to hosts on their own shows. We approach all interviews with humility and respect. Chris Cuomo, for example. We definitely don't agree on much. Especially politics. Our worldviews are very different. But Chris invited us on and allowed us to actually answer the questions. No interruptions. No gotcha. No tricks. He asked intelligent questions and let us answer. And on the rare occasion he interrupted, he only did so to add something helpful or insightful. Chris seemed genuinely interested in getting to the truth. It was a great experience. We thank Chris for being authentic about giving us an opportunity to be heard. But Nancy Grace is an outlier. An abhorrent and mean-spirited outlier who seems to have no interest whatosever in what her guests actually have to say. It's always about Nancy. Always. Her behavior is at best rude (and that is charitable) but more often just downright nasty. Her show is an abomination because it is a hermetically sealed echo chamber that serves only as an incubation pod for her agenda, whatever that capricious agenda may be at the moment. An interviewer is supposed to do far more listening than talking. Basic rule of an interview. But not Nancy. With her, that basic rule flips. It often seems like she is talking 90% of the time. Nancy is not interviewing. She's delivering a sermon to the intellectually dishonest true believers and to those who traffick in debunked conspiracy theories for profit. Nancy Grace has become at once a caricature of herself and a walking talking living satire of the cartoonish "everything is a crisis"/"everything is a conspiracy" dumpster fire that is 21st century mass media. The terrifying thing is that millions of people hang on her every word. We don't accept that and never will. Charlatans in the media should be held accountable. And that's why I had to write the Dear Nancy Grace Letters. I had some folks ask me why we were not able to get to all the stuff that's in the Dear Nancy Grace Letters out when we were actually on Nancy's show. Why not just say it all to Nancy's face? The reason is that Nancy never shuts up. Ever. She would barely let us get a word in edgewise. No other host did that to us. Nancy was the ONLY interviewer who didn't care what we had to say. Her method was simple: ask us bad faith questions, quickly interrupt us, and then make her patented "gotcha" face as if she just solved the Kennedy assassination. We, on the other hand, care about truth and reject lies. TRUTH: COMPLETELY INNOCENT.
