I've been converting @GodysseyPodcast Season 1 to video format for YouTube. It's been a lot of fun to dig back into our first season on Irish Mythology with @TheRealOGWright

Cernunnos is the Celtic horned god, called the great peacemaker and master of the wild places. This figure is largely mysterious, and we only know his name from a single source, a stone pillar in Paris, yet he has captured the modern imagination of Celtophiles. #FolkloreSunday

ALT The Veronese Design Studio's depiction of Cernunnos as a modern statue. He has stag legs below the waist, is a muscular human above, with stag horns on his head. He raises a torc in his right hand and hissing serpent in his left, with another serpent, a bear, and a fawn at his feet as he sits on a stump.

A deity of truly Hellenistic proportions, Aion is the god of time and eternity, and the master of the heavens, specifically the wheel of the zodiac, which is his symbol. Time is a circle: the wheel of the year meets beginning and end at the same place. #TempleThursday

A rapidly-growing alternative death practice is tree pods, where the body is placed in a sack to compost beneath a tree sapling. As you decompose, your energy passes into the tree: for many it is a way to live on and offer the ecosystem something. #WyrdWednesday

Stolas is the boss owl, a goetic demon and Great Prince of Hell known for his crown, long skinny legs, and ability to inform about precious minerals and herbs. He can teach you astronomy, and commands 26 legions of demons. Look at, deGrasse Tyson. #WyrdWednesday

Also, “we’re becoming A Handmaid’s Tale” is actually a super white-centered take that completely ignores we’re living in a struggle against genocide and slavery that’s been going on over 500 years

For those not in the know, my Masters isn't in anything related to myth, but is in the history of the atomic bomb, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and survivors. I did this thread last year in commencement, so I thought I'd share some good resources for all.
Never Forget, Never Again
Today marks the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombing of #Hiroshima - the first time atomic weapons were tested on human subjects. Those survivors, called Hibakusha (被爆者), and I thought I'd share some sources on their stories. [1/] #Hiroshima75
