TBT to this great opportunity my alma mater gave me last year. A great honor!
.@NCStateEngr alum Essad Malik '04 started @MuslimBball as a way to build brotherhood through sport. More than a decade later, the nonprofit basketball league continues to thrive. NC State magazine has the story: ncst.at/bGLt6j #HowlBack

You think you bought access for the lesser thans.
All you did was provide insurance to the big boys.
Congrats, 24 Team playoff people.

“ Okay now lets make all the top teams lose so we can justify a 24 team playoff “
1. The regular season still matters
2. OSU will end up being #1 by default even though they got lucky
3. Indiana should get the same treatment as Bama last week and shouldn't drop any spots, right? Or is that just the SEC that gets that privilege?

(we dont like the 24 team playoff format because florida beating texas should fuck shit up thats why we watch college football)

Creating high-end culture and buy-in is harder in the portal era for everyone.
Lotcast 114 is out now.
This. It's all about moving the goalposts for what the definition of a "good" season is, and saying you made the playoffs is good. This used to be finishing with 8 wins and going to a good bowl. Now an 8 win SEC team will get smoked in round 1. PROGRESS!!
The thing about 24 that bothers me most is…
Who is this for?
It’s not because TV was begging for it. ESPN had to be convinced.
It’s not for a boatload of new cash. Losing conf champ games is gonna make this a minimal gain.
It’s not because the 22nd team has any shot at a natty. It doesn’t.
It’s certainly not done with the health, safety, or academic success of the players in mind since they don’t even get a say in this.
It’s entirely to appease the people donating the money that keeps a financially irresponsible business model afloat. It’s discounting success so schools can say “look what your donation bought.”
It’s an industry hellbent on treating investors and bosses as the customer, and customers as an infinite resource that will keep coming back no matter what.
