Yet another bracketed event dies.
By my count the only bracketed MTEs involving at least one power conference team
- Player’s Era (16 + 8 teams)
- Maui Invitational (8)
- Rady’s Children Invitational (4)
- Accisure Series (4)
Really sad for the sport.
The stage is set. 10 dynamic teams ready to battle at the 2026 ESPN Events Invitational.

Regionals weekend is the most underrated event on the sports calendar.
If you miss upsets in March, #4 overall seed Auburn is down 10-0 to Milwaukee right now.
And with that, we are down to just Maui and Player’s Era (x3) as the only eight team high-major MTEs.
Hot take but to me the death of Feast Week is worse than tournament expansion
NEWS: Virginia, Marquette, Texas A&M, and one team that's currently TBD will headline one part of the 2026 Battle 4 Atlantis, according to multiple sources.

Added a live transfer feed in the portal page so you can see what is happening better! Yes that is TCU ranked 2nd right now (More on that soon..)
Oklahoma and Auburn, the committee’s first two teams out, play for the CBC and NIT titles tomorrow. Shouts to them for not opting out of the postseason after coming up just short of NCAA bids.
To contribute my two cents to the tip time discourse: games that tip when it’s still sunny outside just don’t feel as big.
Let me just say I doubt the refereeing crew on tonight’s Texas-Purdue will be back for the Final Four
I think blaming games on the refs is about the lamest thing you can do, but wooof if I was a TCU fan…
This is true, but the committee has made very clear that WAB matters way more than the NET.
Worth noting that if NC State scheduled SWAC teams instead of beating UAB, VCU, Boise, and Liberty they would have finished ~49th instead of 43rd and may have missed the tournament
Replying to @SWRBracketology
I’ve talked to a lot of staffs the past 24 months, and it’s not a one-off, I can assure you.
NET and efficiency metrics encourage that type of scheduling no doubt.

Flynn Clayman was FIRED UP after High Point's upset over Wisconsin:
"They said we ain’t played nobody, well we played somebody now. Nobody would play us, just like they wouldn't play Miami (Ohio). But they got to play us in this tournament" 👀👀
USF finished 5/33 from three. McKneely by himself was 7/10. (And it was still only a four point game)
