It’s not a debate anymore. They’re saying it out loud. If you criticize Israel, the government will come for you, and if you’re foreign, the government will deport you for your criticism of Israel. The First Amendment, it seems, does not protect criticism of Israel or support for Palestine.
Btw, to my Jewish cousins: the Christian far right using Israel as a cudgel to beat Muslims with will only boomerang to hurt you all, and lead to an increase in antisemitism as Israel, and the pro-Israel lobby, is blamed for the loss of our liberties at home. You can see that already with the Tuckers and Candaces.

The biggest single cause of violence in human history is the belief of Western Europeans - and their descendants - in their own superiority.
It justified the horrors of colonialism - from the 10 million killed in King Leopold's Congo, to the tens of millions of Indians who died in avoidable famines under British rule.
It justified the slave trade.
It justified the tens of millions killed during the conquering of the Americas.
And it was most notoriously taken to its most extreme conclusion by the Nazis.
Simply not so. Pre modern societies were way more violent than modern Western ones. Pinker’s “Angels of our better nature” is v good on that.
But Western cultural superiority is not only a matter of less violence. It has created technological sophistication and a better moral system (hence Britain being the first culture to end slavery).
Your empathy for non Western cultures is itself an expression of Western culture
My life is in a truly great place. Married. Bought a home. Reinvented myself. I got here by not being a little bitch anymore. Rather than continuing to make excuses and live in self pity, I confronted myself and recognized the damage I created. The truth sucks but it's worth it.

If any reporter says Iran started a broader war in Middle East after they do their retaliation strikes, they are absolute liars. I hope Iran does not retaliate! But Israel killed the top Iranian general to provoke a wider war. If it starts, Netanyahu definitely started this war.
