The @KidneyBCY recently inducted Compass Rose into the Living Donor Circle of Excellence, a program that recognizes organizations supporting the lost wages of living organ donors.
More than 100,000 people are currently waiting for a life-saving kidney or liver transplant. While only about 4 in every 25,000 people become living donors, workplace policies can either ease or complicate the path to donation.
By joining this program, leaders demonstrate tremendous support for their employees, empowering them to take an extraordinary act that has life-changing effects on Canadians and their families, while reducing the potential financial burden.
