There was once a relationship of hope and shared destiny with the people of Kashmir in Imran Khan's government. A vision in which the people of Kashmir stood at the centre, their will the only legitimate foundation for any future. That vision spoke of dignity, of self-determination, of a people free to decide their own path without the shadow of coercion.
That relationship has been systematically dismantled.
In its place now stand the recent policies of control, silence, and force. Asim Munir has broken the soul of the relationship. Where there should have been listening, there is command. Where there should have been space for the voice of Kashmiris, there is enforced quiet. Where there should have been respect for their political will, there is the machinery of restriction, surveillance, and suppression.
The people of Kashmir are not a territorial claim to be managed, nor a security problem to be solved by force. They are a people whose freedom and consent remain the only legitimate measure of any settlement.
We therefore demand clearly, unapologetically, and without compromise that the will and freedom of the people of Kashmir be respected. Not managed. Not delayed. Not redefined by those who hold the guns and the offices.

Sources in Karak say DSP Imranuddin, a senior officer with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Fazal Awan, SHO and two other policemen have lost lives in clashes with the militants. Two attackers were also killed. DSP Imranuddin survived aeveral attacks in the past and was a famous police officer in the area. Police have not issued any statement about the incident. No group claimed responsibility yet.

Deeply saddened by the martyrdom of CTD DSP Imranuddin Shaheed in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we mourn his exceptional courage, unwavering integrity, and unbreakable commitment to duty. A fearless officer, he survived repeated assassination attempts, bomb blasts, and gunfire, refusing to let fear dictate his choices.
Despite being wounded, his resolve never faltered. When offered a safer posting, he refused, saying, “The terrorists will think I got scared.” His words capture his refusal to surrender to fear. For him, duty was a commitment upheld with honor, courage, and extraordinary responsibility.
From leading high-risk operations to safeguarding his people, DSP Imranuddin chose to lead from the front, even when the cost was his life. He had every reason to step away from danger, yet he remained steadfast in his mission until his final breath.
Pakistan has lost a brave son, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has lost a devoted protector, and his fellow officers have lost a comrade whose courage will remain an enduring example of service and sacrifice.
His martyrdom is a profound loss, but his legacy will live on in his courage, duty, and the lives he sought to protect.
May Allah Almighty grant DSP Imranuddin Shaheed the highest ranks in Jannat-ul-Firdous, accept his sacrifice, and grant his family, loved ones, and colleagues the strength and patience to bear this devastating loss.

Only after his condition deteriorated, he taken to the Police Lines Hospital, where a doctor prescribed four medicines and attributed his illness to prolonged exposure to dust, toxic air and insects in the lockup. If it keeps going at this rate, we might, for (I think) the first time in history, be about to witness the first continent-wide youth revolt in Europe - a "European spring" of sorts.
The sheer number of countries where it's **already** happening is pretty overwhelming. I count 8, including 4 with violent clashes:
- France, famously
- Albania (see below) with daily clashes in Tirana and a government building set alight
- Belgium: the French movement spilled over, including riots in Liège
- Italy: "No Meloni Day" student protests since 16 October, turning into riots in Milan, Turin and Bologna
- Greece: students camping in Athens' Syntagma Square over housing and education costs, explicitly inspired by France
- Germany: pupils blockading schools in Berlin and Hamburg in solidarity with France
- Spain: an indefinite education strike in Madrid, with students marching alongside teachers and families
- Serbia: the student movement born from the 2024 Novi Sad station collapse is now running its own list in the 25 October election
And, by the way, the fact it's also happening in countries with close to no immigration - like Albania - goes to show how reductive it is to label these movements, like JD Vance and Trump did with France, as the fruit of "the migrants hav[ing] taken over."
As is often the case, it's much more a story of "it's the economy, stupid." As such, Trump with his war on Iran, has ironically done much more to fuel this (pun intended) than any migrant.

How Bosnians honor Alija Izetbegović should be an historic example for modern states. I'm not saying this because I'm Bosnian, but how they do it is the right way.
- No cult of personality.
- No portraits, posters, statues, and busts of the leader in public spaces, workplaces, schools, homes.
- No national holidays and mandatory celebrations every 3 months where his picture has to be shown everywhere.
- No Mandatory display of the leader’s image in offices, classrooms, and private residences.
- No constant, repetitive praise across newspapers, radio, television.
- No parades, and choreographed demonstrations of loyalty.
- No Youth organizations that socialize children into veneration of the leader.
- No historical falsification.
A true leader who really just loved his people and did his best will survive forever without all that. Vala tebi dragi Allahu sto si Bosni Aliju dao. Vala tebi sto si Turskoj Erdogana dao.

A Comment, An Overview
ASIM MUNIR'S ACHIEVEMENT: The Iranian blockade of Pak-Iran border almost completes the total isolation of Pakistan from all neighbors, trade and commerce and investments, both domestic and foreign.
The Afghan border is closed, Indian border is off limits, Iranians have told us if we interfere with Yemenis, they will hit back here, the Chinese border is cold and Chinese have been given access by a new road in the Wakhan corridor by the Afghans so they can send their cargoes bypassing Pakistan.
Internally look what has Asim Munir successfully managed to accomplish:
- Balochistan is under rebel control, or most of it, and army cannot move out, even in day time without heavy escorts;
- KPK was a functioning unit but now it is under Army control and people are preparing a long and potentially violent battle of resistance;
- Pakistan's most popular political party and leader are in jail and under fire as if they are the worst enemies of Pakistan;
- Azad Kashmir was a pro-Pakistan territory but now they hate the Army and Pakistan and will never vote for it, if ever given that right;
- Gilgit-Baltistan is under occupation but certainly not with Pakistan;
- Punjab is under an immature and clueless leadership but its romance with the Army means everything for the Generals;
- Sindh is reeling under Zardari but the alternative is the greedy Generals so they are standing by watching helplessly;
- Karachi, once the jewel, is now a heap of rubble, with no one to look up to;
- The people are angry, the lawyers are in dread, the farmers have been ruined, traders are screaming, industry is almost dead, imports soaring, exports way down, law and order in a mess, criminals ruling and masquerading as victors.
- The small army Junta is busy scrambling to extract rare minerals from its own occupied territories and sell abroad, oblivious of where the country has gone and is going;
- The larger Army cadres are heart broken, top quality Generals have been sidelined or scrapped, there is no fire or desire left for the institution or the country, only all eyes are on goodies like plots, acres of land, foreign postings, spots to make money, buy foreign properties and islands, and finally move abroad;
- Scared political dwarfs are in top hot seats, ordered and controlled like robots by the Army;
- No one believes any longer in a secure, safe and successful future of the country. Everyone wants to go abroad and find a safe haven.
THATS WHERE WE STAND AFTER 5 YEARS OF ASIM MUNIR RULE.
AND HE WANTS 10 MORE YEARS.

It has been 30 days since my mother and my aunts, Dr. Uzma and Noreen Niazi, were unlawfully detained under the MPO. Throughout their detention at Kot Lakhpat Jail, they have been denied access to family and legal counsel.
No one, especially women, should be subjected to such treatment. With the detention order now ending, they must be released immediately.

My mother, @Aleema_KhanPK Aleema Khan’s 30-day detention period under the colonial-era Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) law has now expired.
Yet, despite the expiry of her 30-day detention period, we have received no further order from the Lahore High Court, nor any official communication from the Punjab Home Department or jail authorities explaining the legal basis for her continued detention or confirming her release.
On what legal grounds is she still being held? Why has she not been released?
Since the day she was abducted and subsequently detained under the MPO, she has been denied access to both her family and legal counsel. One of the strongest voices advocating for her brother, Imran Khan @ImranKhanPTI, has also been silenced.
Thirty days have passed. No family access. No legal access. No justice.
Are the authorities preparing to extend her detention for another 30 days? If so, on what grounds?
We demand her immediate release.
Not another day of silence, obstruction of justice, or denial of her most basic rights is acceptable.

Every Saturday and Sunday, the Pakistani military imposes a curfew in North Waziristan, citing military movement. Yet, trucks continue transporting minerals in bulk. The roads remain open for extracting our resources, while locals, patients and children are held hostage by restrictions.
