This man shouldn’t run bingo night at his retirement home, let alone run the city of Surrey.
Mayor Magoo is back

This is what happens when people dont vote. No matter what, its important to vote so we do not end up with an 82 year old in charge of a young and vibrant city

Interesting to me how many people complaining/commenting on election results but at the same time say they didn’t vote. You didn’t vote? Then no right to complain in my opinion. Why don’t more people vote? @JasJohalBC @steeletalk @PeterLepine @SelinaMRobinson
I need to keep quiet about who I vote for next week as I’ve been told I’m a racist white man if I don’t vote for Eby lol!

I do think McCallum’s physical health was the elephant in the room that no one wanted to talk about, why??? I’ve had skin cancer twice on my face, it’s serious, is this what he has? @bobmackin @steeletalk @GlobalBC_Comm

The latest numbers in Surrey, where McCallum wins and nearly all of his @safe_surrey council candidates are elected, too. Interesting night, for sure.
The latest on @SurreyNowLeader here: surreynowleader.com/2026/10/…
Apparently I’m a disgusting white guy for not wanting to vote for @Dave_Eby

I voted for Mike Starchuck but this is still the greatest day in Surrey’s history.
So how does a care home resident become Mayor of #SurreyBC @JanetBrown980 @steeletalk @SurreyNowLeader @CityofSurrey @dtsurreybia
Thanks for running @JanetBrown980 @LindaAnnisBC the old man wins again
Congratulations you deserve it run bigger!
Thank you, Port Coquitlam.
I am deeply humbled and grateful for the trust you have placed in me once again.
I love this community, I believe in its people, and I have never taken for granted the privilege of working on your behalf.
To everyone who supported me, volunteered, knocked on doors, put up a sign, or simply offered a kind word along the way, thank you. And to those who voted differently, I want you to know that I work for you too. Every single person in Port Coquitlam deserves a Mayor who listens, works hard and puts their interests first.
I’ve always believed that public service isn’t about titles or political ambition. It’s about people. It’s about doing what’s right, even when it isn’t easy. It’s about respecting the people who work hard every day, raise families, contribute to their communities and simply want a fair shot at a good life.
Those are the values I was raised with. They’re the values that have guided me as Mayor, and they always will.
We live in a time when too many people are losing confidence that government understands their struggles or is capable of making their lives better. I believe we can restore that confidence. Not through slogans or empty promises, but through hard work, competence over ideology, and results people can actually see and feel.
That’s what we’ve worked to demonstrate here in Port Coquitlam. And it’s what I intend to keep doing.
Tonight, I’m grateful for this strong vote of confidence from Port Coquitlam. I’m grateful for my family, grateful for this remarkable community, and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the people and the place I love.
Thank you, PoCo.
How is Doug going to win ? And Elford who voted against Police? Wtf is going on? Hello? @JasJohalBC @JanetBrown980 @steeletalk @LindaAnnisBC
Okay voted. Don’t disappoint me @LindaAnnisBC @JanetBrown980 Also have yet to receive anything for next weeks election. Ummm okay. Yes I know I can go without the voting card but still strange
Saw this at a @McDonaldsCanada in #Northvancouver kinda weird to have an election banner there but okay? Can’t say I’ve ever seen a election banner in a big name business @bobmackin @NorthShoreNews
Time to disband the @TransitPoliceBC and start hiring more @surreyps and start patrolling transit in Surrey. Sick and tired of walking by bus shelters that have become injection sites littered with needles. Problem kids at Whalley Skytrains. @LindaAnnisBC @JanetBrown980 #surreybc
Well I was going to vote for the @BCGreens but after listening to the leader being rude in the debate she’s just like all of them. Who the hell am I voting for? It’s not going to be Evy and it’s not going to be the Wack Jobs. Centric?
