This fight isn’t over.
Fascism and authoritarianism feed off a demoralized society. They create the illusion of powerlessness, but it isn’t real.
Reject it. History shows us when people remember they have power and agency they win.

There is no vaccine.
There is only a president so desperate to retain power and avoid prosecution he’s more than happy to lie to people desperate for hope and sow deadly disinformation.

I keep thinking about how @grantimahara was such an incredible role model. We can never truly know the extent of his reach. But, I know I (and several others) would love to hear if you were directly or indirectly influenced to pursue a career in STEM because of Grant.
Miss you.

Happy Friday! I miss my friend and started crying on the toilet this morning so very on brand for 2020. Also normalize crying! There is nothing gendered about it. Thank you.

The coronavirus stimulus package carved out $135,000,000,000 in tax breaks for millionaires.
That's *three times* as much money as was included for emergency housing and food relief.
When I say we have socialism for the rich, harsh capitalism for the rest, this is what I mean.

One of @grantimahara 's favorite charities was Donors Choose donorschoose.org/
The org allows you to directly meet the needs of a public school classroom, and he had folders & boxes overflowing w/ thank you cards, art & gifts from the kids and teachers he helped support.

I still don't really have words. I really want to write something meaningful but whatever I come up with doesn't feel like a good enough tribute to this truly amazing human. We were all so, so lucky to know you. RIP @grantimahara ❤

As someone who has a lot of family focusing on the looters and violent participants of the protests....this sign is perfection and such a great breakdown of white psyche. Don’t side with oppression.....ever.

This is a great piece from @TheMattKey! I admit though, that now I have some weird images stamped in my brain-pan that can never be erased! The #ScarletWitch's journey is insanely fascinating and heartbreaking and just plain weird. #WandaVision

Art isn’t a zero sum game. If you make some art, there’s not less art for me to make. When a colleague makes something, even if I don’t get it (or if I do, and I’m jealous) how I try to feel is “Hooray! More Art!” bc I know how hard it is to make new things, and how important.

The moment immediately after an action setpiece in a story is a perfect time for character development. Not only does it allow the audience to catch their breath, but your characters can express feelings on what just happened, further deepening & explaining their choices.

I also have studied the scriptures for decades, have a Religion degree, and I am a believer in Christ.
There is no justification for violence. Period.
I don't think Jesus made anything clearer than that, except perhaps his disdain for hypocrisy.
