US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee attributed declining public support for Israel in the United States to what he described as "biblical illiteracy", foreign propaganda and hostility toward people who believe in God.
Speaking to NewsNation on Thursday, Huckabee said there were "three sources" behind what he called the erosion of support for Israel.
He cited foreign disinformation, hostility toward people who believe "there is a God and that he's made up the rules for life", and a lack of knowledge of the Bible.
Huckabee also dismissed claims that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza or operates an apartheid system, despite overwhelming evidence, saying US citizens would have a more favorable view of Israel if they would "look at the truth."
