An absolute disgrace to baseball and everything this great game stands for! I first saw this video when Fry Daddy posted it, and I still can’t believe what I witnessed. Congratulations to both teams—one has a chance to win its first World Series, and that’s awesome. But what he did was an embarrassment, a complete disgrace, and a slap in the face to the game I love.
Still kind of crazy to me that I finally own a pair of Salmon Toes.
This shoe has always meant a lot to me, a true definition of the word “grail” for those of us collecting Ronnie Fieg ASICS back in the day.
EA on these vanished quickly, and after I made a post expressing my disappointment, @iHateThatNinja reached out and told me he happened to have an extra pair in my size and was willing to ship them to me at cost.
Couldn’t be more thankful to him for making it happen. After all these years, it feels pretty surreal to finally have a pair in hand.
Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant to pick this up. $120 is a lot for a book that’ll ultimately live on a coffee table or shelf but once I had it in hand I immediately understood the price.
At nearly 10 lbs and 444 pages, it’s the biggest book Assouline has ever made.
The scale, print quality, and presentation are incredible, but what really sold me on it was flipping through the pages and being taken down memory lane through @ArabLincoln's lens and reminiscing over some of the great releases and moments from over the years.
