Hello!
Welcome the KC Pulse.
It's time we get started.

The Plaza-area could see a new apartment building rise in the coming years.
This time, on Madison Avenue at 44th Street with a 5-story building. thekcpulse.com/2026/10/20/ap…
Construction is underway on the Levy.
158 apartments coming to 31st and Gillham, just a few blocks south of the future Royals ballpark and in the middle of several businesses at Martini Corner.
Design wise, it’s lackluster. thelevykc.com
20th and Pennsylvania - a single-story building there is undergoing renovation into a Mr. D's donut shop. Mr. D's has a location in Shawnee.
A big donut is planned to be added to the roof.

A bit hard to see, but Earl Santee (founder of Populous) showed these graphics during his presentation today that reveal that the natural limestone bluff will make appearances inside of the stadium itself. So part of the experience of walking in the "below-grade" concourses will be seeing this exposed limestone.
Crown Vision. Fountains. Limestone. Terra Cotta. Incorporation of a limestone bluff into the design of the stadium.
All of these are highlights of the future home of the @Royals at Crown Center.
And it should be open in time for Opening Day 2030.

New 2nd floor windows and test squares of paint on the 10th Street side of the Seiden’s Fur building on Broadway. It seems the plan is to repaint the brick as it was originally.
And to think this building was once set for demolition. It’s becoming apartments and a restaurant.
It doesn't go unnoticed that people make a big deal out of the Royals TIF district/impact area size but are completely silent on the Chiefs STAR Bond district/impact area encompassing all of Wyandotte County and a large chunk of Johnson County.
BTW, where's the complaints over the new STAR Bond backed mixed-use district in Gardner by the name of Velocity?
It's just another greenfield development that sits on the edge of the region and will siphon patrons away from existing mixed-use zones leading to decline elsewhere.
Utility and site grading work for the new Parade Park development is well underway.
It’ll be a while until the entire development is completed, but it should give the 18th and Vine neighborhood a huge boost.
Two properties on the Streetcar line are for sale across from the Midtown Home Depot.
Both are great contenders for new housing with the nearest streetcar stop being at Armour a few blocks south.
Hopefully some keeps the momentum going in this part of town.
The site for sale by Steven Roberts of Remax is next door to the ABC and Anderson buildings, which are beginning a redevelopment into loft apartments.
The other site, between the car wash and laundromat, is currently partially used for food trucks.

Mac Properties is renovating the mid-century Hamilton apartment building at Armour and Holmes.
It’s their most recent undertaking after they renovated the mid-century apartment building catty-corner at 640 East Armour.
Naturally the Union Hill Veterinary Clinic owner has done nothing after he demolished the Jeserich & Ward buildings and promised to issue an RFP for a new building there.
Some developers have told me about the RFP requirements and they didn’t respond calling them “ridiculous”.
