Pathwright's been an independent self-funded company since day one. Independent from megacorps, money guys and arbitrary "just ship it!" deadlines. The results? Slower, sustainable growth. A team that knows you. And laser focus on actually making the best software.

Magic! starts tomorrow with “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. It’s a spooky season triple-header with all female leads.

A conference’s worth of 5052 aluminum @GrokConf ‘23 badges from @sendcutsend showed up on my doorstep today. Highly pumped on these!

Letters I drew to warm up the ol' design brain. I was thinking pixel/glitch and also my lifelong obsession with NASA letters.

Pumped to tell you fine folks @Stefania_druga will be speaking at @GrokConf 2023! I can't wait to hear her presentation and then dig into the conversations that will happen after.

After building a couple pages with @framer I really like it. Not sure how it compares to @webflow though. Any takes @aerykpayne @robricgon?

Been working with @sendcutsend's amazing team to bring badges for @GrokConf to life. They've been incredible, a real joy to work with these human beings! These are fully recyclable 1/8" thick 5052 aluminum CNC'd absolute units. Also, come to Grok!

I know I'm biased, but the speakers at grokconf.com this year are pretty great. My favorite thing about Grok is that these stellar folks are really 50/50 speaker and conversation starter. Can't wait to talk with them and hug some of them (looking at you @jkosoy)

I’m reading @blakecrouch1’s “Upgrade” and it has this fun math puzzle. In an ocean, a group of jellyfish doubles in size every day. If it takes 90 days for the jellyfish to cover the entire ocean, how long would it take the jellyfish to cover half the ocean? Answer next:

The answer is 89 days. The book is great too, totally recommend 👍👍 amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09JV9NXX…

TIL from “Terminator 2” 1️⃣ Furlong’s first movie 🙅‍♀️ Cameron didn’t want to do it 👍 Arnold *really* wanted to do it ✍️ Script written in 6 weeks 🦅 Patrick imitated predators like eagles 🛩️ Schwarzenegger’s salary paid with a jet 🤖🤖 First idea was 2 Arnolds fighting each other

TILs about “The Terminator” 💵 Cost just $6.4M 🙅‍♀️ Studio didn’t believe in it 🤖 Arnold didn’t like it either 💤 Based on Cameron’s nightmare 🔫 Critics thought is was too violent 🎥 Cameron used to be a VFX grunt 😬 OJ Simpson considered for T-800 but not believable as a killer

Here’s how James Cameron discovered “Terminator”. The year is 1982. Cameron is in Rome and he doesn’t feel good. Two reasons. First, he has a fever. Might be brought on by the troubled production of his directorial debut, “Piranha 2”, which he’d later disown.

Sick as a dog in body and heart, Cameron had a fever-induced nightmare. He saw a wall of fire. And out of it crawled the upper half of hell’s lower depths—a machine with a skull-like visage dragging only a torso behind. A machine that wouldn’t stop.

If this was interesting so far, you’d probably like Pizza & a Movie 72. Everything from casting Arnie to how it went down at the box office.

It scared the pantaloni off him. But it did cure what ailed his career. Now Cameron had both a concept and the gut feeling that it would scare everyone else who saw it just as much as it did him. He was swimming to land and his “Piranha" days were over.
